Drive ahead and stop at the first well-lit corridor on the right. Stop the engine and go towards the light, then down the stairs. Read the warning and walk inside - it is time to learn Ethan's another story.

Note: This is the only occasion, on which you encounter an opponent, in the game. In the underground labyrinth, there is a wraith - if it manages to get hold of you, you do not die, but you will end up next to the mine entrance and you will have to walk through its corridors again. Fortunately, his appearance is signaled beforehand - you simply need to run away and wait for a moment.

Keep going ahead, up until you reach the map - the X symbol marks your current position (there are several maps, they make it easier to navigate, because the corridors are similar to each other). Your final destination is the big square hall in the upper right corner of the map. There, you will have to solve a simple puzzle but, before you can start solving it, you need to find 5 corpses all around the labyrinth. The locations of the corpses have been marked on the map below.

After you find all the corpses, go to the biggest hall, where there is the last corpse and a short note. Read it and remember the first and the last glittering symbol. Then, climb up the stairs.

On top, there are 5 spirits- approach the edge of the rock and use sense. Your task is to arrange the circles of the gate to align the letters into the name of the ancient monster. You have already learned the first and the last letter, from the note that you found down the stairs - align the outermost and the innermost circle accordingly. As for the remaining symbols, you can find them on the plates with the wraiths on. The shape around each of the letters represents a given circle of the gate (the shapes on each are the same as under the feet of the ghosts) - align the remaining 4 symbols and the gate will open.

Take a look around the flooded area - on the right, on the boulder, next to the tree, there is a note. After you read the story, you will get back to the engine. Read two additional notes, enter the vehicle and drive deeper into the tunnel. At the end, there is another well-lit passage - stop, enter the tunnel cross the bubbling water and exit, by crouching under the beam.
