After you cross the dam, over the pat at its top, you will notice several buildings and a dirt road. You need to get to the house that you can see ahead, on the hill. Follow the path to the right and take the first turning to the left. Enter the house.

There are no puzzles inside. You only need to walk into all of the rooms and remember their arrangement - you are going to need it in the next puzzle (The house of portals). After you enter, take a look at the picture on the chest of drawers, next to the lamp. Then, n any order, take a look into each one of the rooms, on all three floors of the building. During your short visit, you will hear the conversations that the Carters have been having, which will shed some more light on the tragic events in the valley. Once you make sure that you have visited each corner in the house, exit and return to the road next to the dam.
