Frame Shift Drive (FSD) is the most important component of the ship. It is a drive which enables the movement in the FTL speed inside the star systems and enables the hyperspace jumps. It is impossible to imagine travelling through space with a different system. Using it requires partaking few steps, but all in all it is very easy.
