Elex: Trophy Guide - How to get platinum trophy? Elex Guide

Last update: 27 November 2022

Indicative difficulty level for getting all trophies - 8-9/10 - Elex doesn't have trophies with complicated premises or those, that require players to beat the game on various difficulty levels. The main problem is that some achievements are time-consuming and that you have to complete the entire game (or at least most of it) a few times. In case of a game such as Elex this can be a big problem because even when you decide to skip some optional activities, the time that you need to spend on beating the game once can take you 40-50 hours.

Indicative amount of time required for beating the game in 100% - Minimum 80 hours (much more, realistically speaking). Honorary Citizen trophy can be unlocked after spending 80 hours with the game BUT it is highly probable that you will have to complete the entire game a few times. Only then you can unlock all abilities, endings and other elements that are connected to various achievements.

Number of trophies - 51 - The game has 42 bronze trophies, 5 silver, 3 gold and 1 platinum trophy.

Offline trophies - 51 - All trophies are unlocked in the single player mode.

Online trophies - 0 - Elex doesn't have a multiplayer mode.

Are there trophies that are unlocked on certain difficulty levels? - No. You can complete the game on easy which is a preferable choice because you won't have to repeat too many fights or spend precious Elexit on, e.g. medicaments or better equipment.

An option to replay levels - Not featured. However, you can save your game whenever you want (quick and manual saves). Use this option when you think that you made a bad decision or when you want to reduce the amount of time on checking various behavior options.

Minimum amount of playthroughs - Three. The game has trophies that you unlock by getting abilities that are available only to a given faction. When you join one of them, you can't switch sides and join another faction. You can try to minimize this problem and complete the beginning of the game without specializing in certain abilities and without joining any of the factions.

Plan for getting all trophies in Elex

Step 1 - Completing the beginning of the game without specializing your character in any of the fields

When you start the game, you should prepare yourself that the campaign needs to be completed in (at least) three ways. You can decide to make three full runs or try to reduce the time for getting all trophies that are in the game. You can play the beginning of the campaign (the moment of reaching level 10-15) and use it as your foundation for future runs.

Here, you must try to avoid:

  • Spending stat points on increasing the main statistics (Strength, Dexterity etc.)
  • Spending ability points on unlocking new abilities
  • Starting important quests
  • Making decisions that can increase or lower your Cold
  • Joining any of the factions - you must be neutral

Experience points, that you need in order to level up, can be acquired by completing simple quests and defeating monsters (the best way to do that is to have a companion who lowers difficulty level of fights).

Step 2 - Completing the main part of the game with faction no. 1, getting particular abilities and reaching a desired Cold level

If you don't want to experiment with completing the initial part of the campaign in the "universal" way, you can always skip the first step and start with this one.

Decide which faction you want to join (Berserkers, Clerics, Outlaws) and focus solely on joining it and helping its members. However, that is not all because you have to remember about two other things:

1) Choice of abilities - The game has seven trophies that are connected with abilities and each one of them requires you to unlock all abilities from a given category. There are four general categories (e.g. Combat) and three faction abilities categories (one trophy for each organization). From the start, you must develop your character in a such way that you will end the game with having two-three fully developed categories (minimum one general and one faction). Here, it is important to plan development of your hero's stats - for example, if you plan on unlocking Combat abilities then you should focus on increasing Strength and Constitution (however, you shouldn't ignore the rest of the stats). You must also remember that each training costs Elexit so you should collect it as much as you can (you can, e.g. sell items that won't be useful to you).

2) Cold level - Luckily for you, this element is less complicated. The two trophies, Human and Coldhearted, that are connected with Cold level (karma), are mutually exclusive. Choose one for your current playthrough (make only those decisions that raise or lower Cold). You must reach level 10 ("good karma") or 90 ("bad karma") of your Cold.

Continue the game until you reach the final quests (chapters 3-4) and save your game manually. You can now proceed with step 5 or you can check out steps 3 and 4 that overlap a little bit with step 2.

Step 3 - Completing the main part of the game with faction no. 2, getting different abilities and Cold level

Start a new game or load a save from a place where you completed step 1. Select a new faction and focus on it.

Here, you must develop your character in a such way that allows you to fully develop other groups of abilities (at least one general category and one connected to a faction). You must also act differently in situations that affect your Cold level (for example, if during your previous playthrough you had "good karma" then now you should focus on collecting "bad karma").

Continue the game until you reach the final quests (chapters 3-4) and save your game manually.

Step 4 - Completing the main part of the game with faction no.3, getting different abilities

You must play with one more faction and the whole process is the same as before - focus solely on joining it and helping members of that faction.

During your third playthrough you should remember about other groups of abilities that you didn't unlock before. Besides that, you must also remember about unlocking all abilities of your faction. At the end of this step you should have all trophies connected to abilities.

Continue the game until you reach the final quests (chapters 3-4) and save your game manually.

Step 5 - Playing the final part of the game

The final part of Elex consists of chapters 3 and 4 that take place before the final battle and meeting The Hybrid. These chapters require you to make various decisions that influence the ending of the game.

Proceed with the final part by representing any of the factions from steps 2-4. Elex has trophies that are connected to its three endings and you have to check how many of them you can unlock during that particular playthrough (Cold level is the key element). If you can't have a particular ending then you should load one of the saves for a different faction and see which endings are available for that character.

Your goal is to get the following trophies: Balance of Power, Pure Rebel, Beast of Xacor.

Step 6 - Getting all other trophies

The rest of the trophies can be unlocked by loading one of your saves before the final part or by continuing the game after completing the campaign. You should pay attention to the following achievements:

  • Romantic - Travel with Caja a lot, complete quests while she is accompanying you and make decisions that she can agree with.
  • Big Earner - Collect all legendary weapons, armors and other valuable items that can be sold. You must also carefully explore all locations because many of them have small bags with Elexit.
  • Big Game Hunter - Never ignore a chance to kill a monster. Defeat even the weaker ones, those that "offer" a small amount of experience that you get for killing them.
  • Honorary Citizen - You must spend at least 80 hours with the game. It is not that difficult as it may seem at a first glance (if you want, you can always leave the game running and walk away from a computer/console) because one "full" playthrough (completing all quests, fighting with monsters, unlocking all abilities from a selected category) can take about that much time.
