On this page of the Elex 2 guide, you will learn how to unlock the option to trade with merchants from the Grotto, the Morkons headquarters. We explain what you need to do to make the traders from the Grotto more friendly to Jax and let you to buy and sell goods.
The Grotto and the problem with traders
As a reminder, the Grotto is the headquarters of the Morkon faction and it is located east of the place where you complete the prologue. This is one of the most important locations in the game - you will spend a lot of time there completing main and side quests.
The first visit to the Grotto makes you believe that this is a friendly place. Unlike the Fort (the Berserkers' headquarters), Jax will be let inside without any problems. Unfortunately, it will quickly turn out that the Grotto merchants will not want to trade with the hero.
Unlocking options to buy and sell goods
Fortunately, solving the problem of not being able to trade with the Grotto merchants is not very difficult. Go down to the lower level of the Grotto. First, you have to meet with Khan and The Voice of Khan who accompanies him. You will be sent to Tengis and Zarina to get tasks.
Find Tengis and inform him that you were sent by Khan. In addition to receiving a new quest from Tengis, he will also inform you that you can now trade with merchants. You can buy various goods from them (armor, weapons, food, consumables, and more) and sell them unnecessary items.
