This page of the Elex 2 guide contains a walkthrough of the main quest called Machines Run Amok. You will receive it from Adam in the Bastion in chapter two. The task is to defeat the rebel robots stationed near the Castle - the Clerics' headquarters.

Fighting robots

The location of the robots will be marked on the map - they are next to the Castle, so it's best to teleport to that area.

There you will encounter 10 combat robots and 2 drones. You don't have to fight all opponents at the same time. They are so far apart that it is possible to lure single (or at least smaller groups) enemies. After defeating the robots, the mission will automatically end and you will receive the System Error quest.
