This page of the Elex 2 guide contains a walkthrough of the main quest called Enemy Scouts. You will receive it from Adam in the Bastion after completing A Commander for the New Troops quest. The objective is to kill Agitators near the Bastion.

Fighting Agitators

The exact location of enemy scouts will be marked on the screen. They are quite strong, so take a companion with you. After reaching the destination, you will see a short cut-scene. Agitators will not notice you right away, so you have the opportunity to prepare for the fight - drink potions to strengthen your character and weaken your opponents from a distance.

Agitators can attack from a distance. When you get close to them, they will switch to close combat. They also dodge by teleporting themselves, so attacking them is a bit more difficult. Focus on one target to reduce the number of enemies as quickly as possible. After killing 5 Agitators, the mission will be completed and you can return to Adam and inform him about the progress.
