On this page of the Elex 2 guide, you will learn how to complete the Preparing the Bastion quest. It consists of several other quests: Spring Cleaning, Handyman Wanted and A Commander for the New Troops. Your goal will be to get rid of the monsters around the Bastion, and to find the right people for a builder and a unit commander. You will receive all these quests from Adam in the Bastion.
Spring Cleaning
The objective of the Spring Cleaning questis to defeat 5 monsters called Annoying Critter. The location of each enemy is marked on the map. Some of them are located directly in the Bastion, while others are a bit further away.
Defeating them shouldn't be a problem, especially since they are alone. All you need is the basic equipment collected on the way to the Bastion. Kill all enemies to complete the mission (you don't have to return to Adam).
Handyman Wanted
In the Handyman Wanted quest, you need to convince Gardok to work on improving the Bastion's fortifications. Gardok is in the house next to the Bastion - his location will be marked on the map.
Gardok says that he will not start working without the right tool. Two points will be marked on your map - near the Grotto and near the Castle. Go to just one of them. Take the tools you are looking for from there and return to Gardok.
Gardok will ask you to get some lime. You will find it near the Bastion - the exact location will be marked on the map. After getting the material, talk to Gardok again - this will convince him to cooperate and the mission will be completed.
A Commander for the New Troops
During A Commander for the New Troops quest, you must find the right person to command the 6th Power warriors. You will need to go to Thialg. He is the Berserker you met at the beginning of the game. You will find him in the Berserkers' outpost.
Thialg will accept the rank of commander on condition that he can find someone to replace him in his current duties. Go to the Fort and talk to Brambert - he is standing just outside the main gate. After a short conversation, the Berserk will agree to be a replacement. Return to Thialg now - the mission will be completed.
