Starting the quest
As you pass the alchemists' house in Fort, you will be stopped by Hank. He promises to give you a valuable item if you give him 250 Elexit crystals. Agree and wait a few days.
After waiting enough time, return to Hank - he will be in the same place. Now he will offer you an exchange. He can give you a gold bar for Elex, a lockpick, iron, or beer (choose any item). This will start the Trade with Hank quest.
Delivering gold ingot to Vivian
Hank tells you that Vivian in the Castle, the Clerics' headquarters, will buy the gold bar. Her exact location will be marked on the map, so go there and talk to the woman. It will turn out that the gold bar is a counterfeit.
Searching for Hank
Go back to the Fort and head to the place where you spoke to Hank - he won't be there. Enter the alchemists' house and talk to Tilas. You will be directed to the Crater.
Go to the Crater and head to the place marked on your map. You will meet Hank. Talking to him ends the quest. However, if you want to get back some of the crystals, you have to kill him. The bystanders will not participate in the fight - you can kill Hank without any consequences.
