This page of the Elex 2 guide contains a walkthrough of the Test Prototype ZX-01 quest. You will receive it from a character named Keno - he can be found in the robot workshop in the Castle. The task is to test the titular prototype.
Fighting the prototype
The mission is very short - right after activating the prototype, it will attack nearby characters. The fight shouldn't be a problem for you - especially since people nearby will join you. After defeating the prototype, the quest will be complete.
