To be able to create a given Glyph, you will have to use 3 types of Runes:

  • Potency (looking like a purple square), determining the required level and strength of the created Glyph. They are divided into: Additive and Subtractive types.
  • Aspect ( looking like a yellow triangle), determining the quality of the created Glyph.
  • Essence (looking like an amber circle), determining the magical effect of the Glyph.

Essence Runestones give the Glyphs the desired effect, like enchanting a weapon with a spell, allowing it to deal additional, elemental damage, giving a piece of armor additional health or stamina, or enchanting a jewelry, which will now, for instance, decrease the costs of magicka-based abilities.

There are 5 Aspect Runestones in the game. They are used in a similar manner to the items used in the process of upgrading (Tannin, Temper, Resin).
