General information about visiting the Bazaar in the The Only Way Out quest
The Only Way Out is the title of one of the first main quests in Dying Light 2. You will start it after completing the prologue quests and unlocking the option to freely travel around Old Villedor.
Hakon will tell you that you have to wait for him to contact you. In the meantime, you will be sent to a location called the Bazaar to get acquainted with its inhabitants - the Survivors.
The Bazaar is a large church located in the Trinity district. It is an allied base. After entering its territory, you will meet only friendly characters - no one will attack you.
You must enter the church to update the mission objective. You will earn the Herzlich wilkommen! trophy and the objective in which you have to talk to the residents. The Bazaar will also be unlocked as a safe zone with a bed and stash.
Conversations and meetings with the inhabitants of the Bazaar
You don't have to talk to every person in the Bazaar. However, you can unlock side quests related to this location:
Julian will give you Cheers! side quest.
Carlos will give you The Spark of Invention side quest.
Will and Monika are standing on the roof of the building adjacent to the Bazaar (look for the exclamation mark icon). They will give you All in the Family side quest that you have to complete during the night.
In addition, there are other, less important people in the Bazaar. You can talk with them, but these conversations don't have any choices or start quests. Use the survivor sense to see who you can talk to - these people will be marked.
Hakon contacting us - when will it happen?
As already mentioned, your goal is to push the quest to make Hakon contact Aiden. However, there is no one specific method to achieve this, as the quest offers a greater freedom. You can:
- Do the side quests described in the previous section. Hakon should contact you after completing two side quests, although he can speak even after completing just one.
- Let enough time to pass. Hakon should contact you after around 12 hours have passed (in the game world) since the start of the main mission. However, remember to at least visit the Bazaar and unlock it as an allied location.
Regardless of how you triggered the contact, after talking to Hakon on the walkie-talkie, a new mission objective will appear in your journal - meet him in person.
