Gaining Knowledge
Knowledge influences the speed and progress of research. Subsequent research, due to the difficulty and number of topics studied, will take longer time to complete. Hence, constant development of Knowledge is required. 1 Knowledge point grants a 10% faster research. Ways to gain knowledge :
- Research Centers built in villages,
- Base building: Research Center,
- Study (green tree): Local Hubs,
- Treaties.
Treaties
Especially in the later phases of the game, using treaties will be the most effective way to speed up your research. Each treaty with a different faction increases the amount of Knowledge gain by 15%, so in total you can get a 45% bonus. Remember that the established treaty reduces the Power increase by 1 - so they are not always the best option for the initial stages of the game (a contract with Atreides costs you no points of Power).
