The Turn back the wheels of time task in Disco Elysium allows Harrier to steer his political thoughts towards fascism and nationalism. Below you will learn how to complete it and unlock an achievement: Truly Rabid "Traditionalist".
Starting conditions
This task refers to fascism - use it in dialogues (racism, Revachol dominance, nationalist options, misogyny) to unlock the Revacholian Nationhood thought. You don't have to explore it. After going to sleep on the third day, during sleep, the inner voice will enable you to follow this thought after choosing the option: I can't give up. I have to keep going, for Revachol... If you have other options, you will activate other political opinions, while discarding the thoughts will make you miss the chance of starting the quest.
Talking to citizens
After starting the task, go and talk with specific people - it will be easier if you have already talked to them before, for example, as part of side quests:
- Gary (west of the church, he is with Morell),
- Rene - one of the men playing boule in front of the bookstore,
- Racist lorry driver - in front of Frittte shop,
- Measurehead - on the wall behind the strikers.
In fact, it would only be enough to talk to Measurehead, because he will guide you through the rest of the task. However, you must pass the white Suggestion skill check. Talking to others about “turning back time” will make it easier for you to pass the skill check. Now talk to Measurehead in the office, and later with the white-haired woman at the trucks.
Find the mirror - in your room at the hotel or in the cabin in the fishing village. To successfully complete this task, you must pass the red Endurance skill check; knowledge of Advanced Race Theory (from the Measurehead) will help you in this. If you fail the test, you will also complete the task (30 XP), but you will be at risk of losing a few Morale points. You will not unlock the achievement: The Icebreaker that is associated with successfully completing the quest.
