Cuno is a kid playing with rocks in the courtyard of the hostel in Disco Elysium. You can trick him by trying to attack him - if that fails, you'll be able to make peace if you want to as part of the Make truce with Cuno quest.

On this guide page, we describe the following task in Disco Elysium: Make truce with Cuno. You will learn how to start it and what to give to Cuno to make a truce.
This task begins when you try to attack Cuno (the red skill check during the dialogue) and the skill check fails. Harry will become a laughing stock, and in order to form an alliance with Cuno (unlocking inventory tasks, robbing his father), you have to bribe him. Cuno will accept cigarettes, drugs or a book about Hjelmdall from the bookstore (9 Real). You can't bribe him with alcohol.
