Boss fight description
The fight against World Boss Ashava the Pestilent includes 5 phases, and you have precisely 15 minutes to defeat this opponent. If you have the opportunity, it's a good idea to increase resistance to poison before engaging in this encounter. During the fight, try not to stand directly in front of the boss - it's better to stay behind or stand next to it and attack from there. Ranged characters will have a slightly easier time in this fight.
The first phase of the fight
In the first phase of the fight, Ashava will use several basic attacks. In addition to the regular bite, Ashava can hit the ground with one of his limbs - the attack is preceded by a circle appearing on the floor indicating the range of the hit.
The second attack you should learn to dodge is the sweeping attack with a spike Ashava has on his forearms. The boss sticks the spike into the ground, then rotates the limb around, followed by the attack with the other limb You can avoid this strike in two ways: getting very close to the boss or staying out of range of the enemy's limbs - you will see an attack line on the ground.
What's more, Ashava can change its position by jumping a short distance. When the boss lands, he will deal some damage to your character and push them back. If you notice that the boss is getting ready to jump, try to move from the landing spot.
The second phase of the fight
In the second phase of the fight, apart from the previously described attacks, Ashava will start spitting poison - the attack spreads over a particular area, but only in front of the monster's mouth. This ability is easy to dodge, just stay to the sides of the boss or get behind it.
It should be noted here that the poison sprayed by Ashava remains in the arena for some time, so it becomes an additional obstacle that must be avoided when positioning the character during the boss fight.
The third second stage of the fight
In the third phase of the fight, another very dangerous attack is added to Asahva's abilities. This time the boss will be hitting the ground with two limbs - the attack is indicated by two circles appearing on the ground.
What's important, when Ashava strikes like this, stand under the enemy right behind his back limbs, or keep your distance because, after a while, the boss will continue his attack, throwing his forelimbs back. If you're playing a more fragile character like a Rogue or Sorcerer, the enemy can deplete your entire health bar immediately.
The fourth and fifth phase of the fight
When the Ashava has 2/5 of the health bar left, the last two phases of the fight will begin. We combined them into one because the opponent does not use the new abilities, but he uses the previous ones much more often and performs combos. Keep attacking, stay out of Ashava's limbs, and after a while, you should defeat one of the world bosses in Diablo 4.
