On this page of the guide, you will read about the exploration in Diablo Immortal. You will learn how to discover new locations, as well as what events, dungeons and rifts are.
While traveling through the world of Diablo Immortal, you will visit many different locations, where, in addition to performing the main story quests, you will be able to take part in side quests and special events.
Exploring maps
As you progress through the main story of Diablo Immortal, you will discover new locations with enemies and interesting challenges. Of course, you will be able to move between the locations using teleporters.
There are 8 exploration areas. You will discover most of the maps by completing story quests. All fast travel waypoints are also marked on the maps, but you must discover them before you can use them. While exploring, you can gain experience points for eliminating random enemies or perform tasks related to Exploration Achievements, run into Events and Hidden Lairs.
Events
Zone Events in Diablo Immortal are special events that you can encounter while exploring at any point in the game. During the events, you have a chance to get a lot of loot and crafting items (mainly Enchanted Dust), which will enable you to upgrade your equipment. These events can start anywhere and are indicated by a new blue quest objective in the bar on the left. The most common goal is to eliminate an enemy or a few of them within a certain amount of time. It is a good idea to complete these tasks while completing Bounties.
Dungeons and Rifts
Diablo Immortal also has many dungeons and Rifts, where you will have the opportunity to find many powerful items. Rifts are very similar to the ones from Diablo 3 - you open a rift on a specific level and try to get the highest possible score to unlock the next levels of these challenges and thus have a better chance of getting powerful items.
Kulle's Hidden Chambers
While exploring Zoltun Kulle's library, you can find 5 Lost Pages, which will allow you to create a portal to one of Kulle's Hidden Chambers. Each time you open a portal, you have a chance to awaken a powerful beast, the Hydra (Zoltun Kulle's Hydra).
Exploration achievements
In your Codex you will find a list of all locations and activities related to them, including defeating selected enemies, finding secrets and more. Hilts are the reward for completing them. You also contribute to generating additional progress in exploring the maps.
