This page of the Diablo 2 Resurrected game guide explains how to initiate and complete the Lam Esen's Tome quest in Act 3.

Alkor will give you this quest, but only once you get to the Kurast Bazaar. Of course, talking to him to start the task is completely optional - if you have already found the book, you can simply deliver it to him. In the middle of this location, you will find a temple and in it a staircase leading to the Ruined Temple.

The temple consists of a tiny location with one or two mini-bosses. You'll find Lam Esen's Tome at the end of the main chamber. Bring it to Alkor. For completing this quest, your character will receive 5 Attribute points.
