Shrinesin Diablo 2 Resurrected don't play a very important role. They are an additional random element generated on maps, marked with yellow markers - however, each shrine on the map looks the same, so you need to remember what bonus it offered to return to it for a specific purpose. Most often they can be useful at the lower experience levels.
Depending on the act / type of location, the Shrines will look different - but always offer the same types of buffs. Some shrines regenerate after a certain time in the game or after restarting the game. List of shrines appearing in the game and bonuses that are provided after using them:

Experience shrines deserve special attention: use them when you can. Armor, combat, skills and resistance shrines can be visited especially before fights with mini-bosses, if you know that you will encounter them while under the shrine effect.
