Dante's Combat styles in Devil May Cry 5 Devil May Cry 5 guide, walkthrough

Dante is the only character in Devil May Cry 5 that can use different styles. You can switch between them during fights. Every Style gives Dante unique skills and abilities that can be used with the Style Action button (MMB). The Styles are:

Perform dodges to avoid enemy attacks.

Trickster - the Style Action button (MMB) allows you to perform fast dodges. Great during boss fights.

Improve your melee fighting skills with Swordmaster.

Swordmaster - gives you additional melee attacks. You can use them by pressing the Style Action button (MMB).

Gunslinger - gives you additional attacks for ranged weapons. You can use them by pressing the Style Action button (MMB).

Royal Guard - press the Style Action button (MMB) to defend. The gauge in the upper left corner informs you about your guard's durability. You can't defend from every attack, especially some of those used by bosses.
