In Destiny 2, the character's level of experience is purely a story-related element - you need higher levels to complete certain missions and unlock access to new planets and activities. Also, it's required to earn rewards from various stages of Season Pass and Premium Season Pass. With each new season, a new artifact is added to Destiny 2, which must be leveled up in order to receive additional benefits in the form of modifications. Experience is represented by the experience bar and levels - once you fill in the blue progress bar, you advance to the higher level.

Experience points in Destiny 2 - how to quickly get XP?

In Destiny 2, you get experience points for doing all kinds of activities, such as story missions, side missions, Patrols, Adventures, public events etc. However, you can collect lots of XP by doing the following activities:

1. Bounties - daily and weekly assignments are usually easy to complete and can be completed during other activities so you can get huge amounts of extra experience points;
2. Public events - especially those public events that consist of several stages and can be converted into Heroic Events (The Blind Well, Contact, Escalation Protocol) which reward players with a very large amount of XP;
3. Lost Sectors - these locations are short instances in which you will find a large number of opponents as well as one Champion. You will receive lots of XP for completing the Lost Sector as well as get access to the reward chest;
4. Nightfall: The Ordeal - for completing a mission in the Vanguard mode, players can receive a large amount of experience points;
5. Main story missions and tasks - while doing other activities, you can perform one of the main tasks and get a huge amount of XP.
