Destiny 2: Titan - character classes Destiny 2 Guide

In this chapter you will find a detailed description of the Titan class. All of his sub-classes, their super-skills and class skills have been described here.

Titan is a class that specializes in protecting allies and charging at enemies in the middle of the combat. Titan has an ability to set up a shield to protect him and his allies. Below are the full skill trees of the two available Titan subclasses.

Striker

Striker is a strong offensive Titan subclass that allows you to stay at the middle of the combat and use powerful melee attacks to wipe out hordes of enemies. Striker also has some interesting skills that are useful in both PvE and PvP battles.

Striker - Super Ability

  1. Fists of Havoc - charge your fists with energy and slam the ground with powerful force of maelstrom.

Striker - Class ability

  1. Towering Barrier - creates a large barrier that can be used to reinforce a position against enemy fire;
  2. Rally Barricade - creates a small barrier in form of a cover that allows you to peek over it while using your aiming sights and instantly reloads your weapon when you're hiding.

Striker - Jumps

  1. High Lift - jump in the air to trigger Lift and launch into the higher altitude;
  2. Strafe Lift - jump in the air to activate the lift, fly up and gain strong directional control;
  3. Catapult Lift - jump while airborne to activate lift and launch into the air with a strong initial burst of momentum.

Striker - Grenades

  1. Lightning Grenade - sticks to the surface and emits bolts of lightning;
  2. Pulse Grenade - injures nearby enemies from time to time;
  3. Flashbang Grenade - disorientates enemies and injures them.

Striker - Passive abilities

By selecting a Titan subclass called Striker, you will have access to three different passive skill sets: Code of the Earthshaker, Code of the Juggernaut, Code of the Missile.

Code of the Earthshaker

  1. Seismic Strike - during a sprint, activate this melee combat ability to ram your shoulder into the target and produce an electrical explosion upon hit;
  2. Terminal Velocity - slamming the ground with Fists of Havoc leaves a damage-dealing field active and deals more damage the longer it's in the air;
  3. Magnitude - you get an extra charge of a grenade. Increases the duration of grenade effects;
  4. Aftershocks - damage caused to enemies by using Seismic Strike recharges the grenade skill.

Code of the Juggernaut

  1. Frontal Assault - melee strikes reload the currently held weapon and increase its stability;
  2. Reversal - after killing an opponent in melee combat, you automatically activate the regeneration of your health;
  3. Knockout - shattering an enemy shield or critically injuring an opponent increases the range and damage of melee attacks;
  4. Trample - killing opponents during the duration of the super ability prolongs its action.

Code of the Missile

  1. Thundercrash - a character flies through the air like a missile and hits enemies causing significant damage;
  2. Ballistic Slam - after a slide jump into the air in order to slam the ground and cause damage;
  3. Impact Conversion - by successfully hitting opponents you gain a bit of super-strength;
  4. Inertia Override - collecting ammo while sliding automatically reloads the weapon you have currently equipped and increases its damage.

Sentinel

Sentinel is perhaps the most defensive and supporting subclass of the Titan. Sentinel's skills can make life difficult for all opponents, and even deprive them of the ability to use their own skills completely.

Sentinel - Super Ability

  1. Sentinel Shield - you summon a shield of Void Light. When the Sentinel Shield is active, press R1 / RT to attack. Hold L2 / LB to defend yourself. Press L1 / LT to hit the target.

Sentinel - Class ability

  1. Towering Barrier - creates a large barrier that can be used to reinforce a position against enemy fire;

  1. Voidwall Grenade - creates a wall of burning Void Light;
  2. Suppressor Grenade - an explosive grenade that prevents enemies from using abilities for a short time;
  3. Magnetic Grenade - attaches itself to enemies and explodes twice.

Sentinel - Passive abilities

By selecting the Titan subclass called Sentinel, you will have access to three different passive skill sets: Code of the Protector, Code of the Aggressor, Code of the Commander.

Code of the Protector

  1. Defensive Strike - kill the enemy with this melee combat ability to create a reinforced shield around you and your allies;
  2. Ward of Dawn - when the super power is fully charged, press and hold L1+R1 / LT + RT to create an indestructible shielding dome which protects you and your allies;
  3. Turn The Tide - the shield created by a Defensive Strike lasts longer and increases melee damage and reloading speed;
  4. Rally Force - melee kills restore health to you and your allies.

Code of the Aggressor

  1. Shield Bash - use this skill after a sprint to hit enemies with the shield and further confuse them;
  2. Superior Arsenal - grenade kills renew its energy;
  3. In The Trenches - Kills while surrounded by enemies reduce the cooldown of your Super Ability;
  4. Second Shield - gain an additional Shield Throw charge while Sentinel Shield is active.

Code of the Commander

  1. Banner Shield - using Sentinel Shield creates a barrier of light that blocks enemy projectiles but allows allied bullets to pass through. Allies who fire through the barrier cause increased damage;
  2. Tactical Strike - a melee attack that creates a Void explosion, which sets off any nearby Void Detonators.
  3. Controlled Demolition - strike the target with Void energy to create a detonator. Further hits will cause the detonator to explode and cause AoE damage;
  4. Resupply - Void Detonator explosions partially recharge grenade ability, melee ability, and heals both you and nearby allies.

Sunbreaker

Sunbreaker can use the Solar power to destroy his opponents, even from a great distance. Sunbreaker also has some supporting skills and abilities at his disposal.

Sunbreaker - Super Ability

  1. Hammer of Sol - hurl flaming hammer projectiles at enemies, dealing significant damage with each hit.

Sunbreaker - Class ability

  1. Incendary Grenade - a grenade that sets enemies on fire after it explodes.
  2. Thermite Grenade - a grenade that explodes and launches a burning wave of fire.
  3. Fusion Grenade - an explosive grenade that burns enemies when it attaches to targets.

Sunbreaker - Passive abilities

By selecting a Titan subclass called Sunbreaker, you will have access to three different passive skill sets: Code of the Fire-forged, Code of the Siegebreaker, Code of the Devastator.

Code of the Fire-forged

  1. Hammer Strike - during a sprint, use melee combat skills to hit enemies with a flaming hammer and weaken them;
  2. Tempered Metal - kills carried out by Solar power provide you and your allies with greater mobility and faster reloading of weapons;
  3. Battle-Forge - enemies killed with Super Ability explode;
  4. Vulcan's Rage - the Hammers shatter into explosive molten pieces upon hitting the target.

Code of the Siegebreaker

  1. Mortar Blast - hit the enemy with melee combat skills to unleash a Solar explosion that will set nearby enemies on fire;
  2. Rings of Fire - Solar power kills restore the character's missing health. Melee kills and grenade attacks leave a deadly Sunspot;
  3. Sun Warrior - going through the Sunspot makes grenades and melee combat skills recharge faster, and super ability lasts longer. It also increases the damage caused by the character;
  4. Solar Siege - thrown hammers create Sunspots on the ground. While standing inside them, you can hurl hammers at much faster rate.

Code of the Devastator

  1. Burning Maul - summons a flaming two-handed warhammer that can either strike with fast, consecutive blows, or be swung down to creates fire tornadoes.
  2. Throwing Hammer - you can throw hammer at enemies from a long distance. Picking up a thrown hammer renews the melee combat skills;
  3. Tireless Warrior - after hitting an opponent with a hammer, picking up the hammer will regenerate your health;
  4. Roaring Flames - Solar ability kills and retrieving your Throwing Hammer increases a damage multiplier. This effect can stack up to 3 times.
