Maneater can be a very dangerous boss due to his attacks from above. What's more, you will have to fight two bosses at once after a while, so time is very important in this fight.
General advice
- Try to hurt the first boss as much as possible before the second Maneater appears! The second Maneater will enter the arena after some time, so it's best to kill the first one as soon as possible.
- When the second boss appears, and you haven't defeated the first one yet, focus on the enemy who has less health! Fighting two bosses is very hard, and it certainly doesn't pay off. The sooner you get rid of the first boss, the easier the fight will be.
- The boss can fly over the arena - watch him to avoid being surprised by an attack from above! When the boss is high above the arena, attack him with long-distance weapons or magic. If you can't do it, wait for his attack, dodge it and counterattack.
- It's worth approaching the boss from behind. The Maneater's attacks are painful, but not very quick. Additionally, the boss is vulnerable to your attacks after performing most of his own.
- Watch out for the moment when the Maneater rests its paws on the ground - he will then perform a charge that can take a lot of your health! In addition, this attack can kick you out of the arena, which isn't very big.
- When you are forced to fight against two bosses at once, it is worth moving to the center of the arena, towards the hearth! This is not an ideal place to fight, just like the whole arena anyway, but it gives you the opportunity to hide behind the hearth, so you get a few seconds to restore your health.
- When fighting two opponents at once, attack when one of the bosses stays in the arena, and the other flies over it. This is the safest option. However, remember that after a while the boss above you will attack.
- You can cut off the Maneater's tail! During the fight, go around the enemy and attack the tail to cut it off, which should make the fight much easier.
How to defeat the boss in close combat?
Regardless of whether you fight in close-combat or at a distance, you should attack the boss from the very beginning, so that he loses a large part of health as soon as possible. This is an absolute priority, so that you don't have to fight two bosses at once.
When the boss starts to fly up, wait for his attack, dodge it, and then perform an attack on your own. The boss can simply attack you while landing, or use magic (green laser) - this attack has a short range and is easy to dodge.
If you cut off his tail, he will not be able to use a dangerous, magical attack, which consists of three orbs that will follow you. If the fight goes on long enough, a second Maneater will appear. It is worth to separate them and start fighting only when they are far apart.
If you have a strong shield, you can block virtually all attacks, except for the charge which deals huge damage. Still, it's much safer to avoid the slow attacks and hit the boss every time he misses.
How to defeat the boss from a distance?
The Maneater is much easier to defeat at a safe distance. Then, the boss will usually charge to get closer to you, or approach you slowly.
The boss may also use his ranged attacks more often. It's better to dodge them rather than block. It is worth mentioning that this boss is the most vulnerable to fire, so if you use magic, choose one that deals fire damage. The same goes for using a bow or crossbow - equip arrows that deal fire damage.
When the boss will be close to you, but still in the air, shoot at him with everything you have. When fighting two Maneaters, remember to focus on killing the one with a lower health level.
