Dragon God is an Archdemon, one of the main bosses, which you have to defeat in order to complete the game. Fighting him is more like a puzzle than an actual fight.
General advice
- Wear light armor. If the boss hits you, you'll probably die from just one hit anyway. It's better to be agile than slow, especially in this fight.
- Watch the eyes of the Dragon God! The boss will usually patrol the area from left to right using his head. If his eyes are yellow, it means he hasn't detected you yet. If his eyes turn red, it means that the boss has spotted you and will now try to attack.
- Take cover behind the pillars! This is practically the only way to prevent the boss from spotting you and thus, attacking you.
Boss fight walkthrough
To defeat the boss, you must follow detailed instructions. The boss can kill you with a single hit, which can make the fight seem frustrating.
Your only task is to avoid his hits, run to two catapults that will deal damage to the boss and then try to finish him with your own hands.
At first, wait until the boss hits the arena. When he does it, quickly approach the right pillar, then destroy the stone obstacles on the right side and quickly run to the next pillar, which will block the boss's view.
Hiding behind a pillar, watch the eyes of the boss. If they are yellow, destroy the next obstacles and then quickly run forward, avoiding the attack of the boss. If you know you won't make it, step back to the pillar.
At the end of the road, you will see a catapult with a blue crystal. Your task is to press the button. Once you do it, a cutscene will play, in which a harpoon will be fired from the catapult, hurting the boss.
Once the cutscene is over, go downstairs. There are another obstacles waiting for you down there.
Your task is to move from pillar to pillar while using each of these opportunities to destroy one of the obstacles. To avoid being attacked, watch where the boss's head is pointing. If it's in the opposite direction, run to the pillar and destroy the obstacle. Then wait for a convenient moment to repeat this pattern.
When you get to the last pillar, you'll see the stairs leading up. Go upstairs, while watching out for the fire attack of the boss. Halfway through, there will be another obstacle - destroy it as soon as possible.
Once you get to the top, you'll see another catapult. There is also a Crystal Lizard. Press the button again to fire a harpoon.
Instead of going downstairs, stay upstairs and go straight, so you can lift the Master's Ring. Then go downstairs towards the weakened boss.
For now on, Dragon God won't be moving. To kill him, you must attack his protruding tusk. However, watch out for his fire breath, as it can inflict quite a lot of damage. It is best to attack the boss with magic or long-range weapons.
When you defeat the boss, a pop-up will appear informing that the dense fog will disappear. It concerns the fog in region 1-2, in the Tower Knight arena.
