Escort Duty missions in Deep Rock Galactic start in a large cave that is connected to other, smaller caves. In addition, a drilling machine called Drilldozer appears inside the cave complex.
The main objective of the Escort Duty mission is to escort a the Drilldozer all the way to The Ommoran Hearthstone. When you activate the drilling process, enemy waves will start attacking you immediately.
At some point, the machine will run out of fuel, and you will have to refuel it. On the back of the Drilldozer there are two tanks equipped with a special laser, which you can use to break the Oilshale deposits. Simply take one of the tanks and activate it near the Oilshale (blue crystals), and the refueling process will begin right away. Once you've refueled both tanks, you will need to restart the drilling process.
The number of required refills varies depending on the difficulty level: Hazard 2 - 1 refuel, Hazard 3 - 2 refuels.
After reaching the Ommoran Hearthstone, players must survive up to 4 drilling phases. In the first phase, the cave will be attacked by various types of aliens.
In the second phase round rocks that need to be destroyed as soon as possible will start levitating over the Ommoran Hearthstone.
In the third phase, in addition to the attacking aliens, you will also have to deal with laser crystals rising from the ground which can be destroyed with a pickaxe, Driller or Bosco projectiles.
During the entire drilling process you must also pay attention to Drilldozer's damage level and, if necessary, repair the damage caused by the aliens.
Once all all covers of the Ommoran Hearthstone are broken, you can collect the core and activate the evacuation process.
