Deep Rock Galactic: Loot Bugs - types, loot Deep Rock Galactic guide, tips

In this chapter, the player will find all relevant information about the neutral Loot Bug creatures that can be encountered during the exploration of underground complexes in Deep Rock Galactic. The player will also learn about their types and what can be obtained after their elimination.

Loot Bugs are a special type of creatures that inhabit underground complexes in Deep Rock Galactic. Unlike other aggressive alien species, Loot Bugs are neutral and completely harmless, meaning they are unable to deal direct damage to the player. At the time of writing this guide, Deep Rock Galactic has three types of such creatures: Loot Bug, Golden Loot Bug, and a special type called Huuli Hoarder.

Loot Bug

Loot Bug is a neutral green creature that is completely harmless to the player. A Loot Bug sticks very well to any surface so it can crawl on both the ground and the walls of a cave. Loot Bug can be eliminated with a weapon or a pickaxe, but none of the dwarves will be proud of that (sometimes you can even hear interesting comments about these creatures). However, in return, the player can receive additional Nitra and Gold.

A destroyed Loot Bug drops raw materials - you will often have to run after the items to collect them. Sometimes they can roll into the deeper parts of the cave. Jump on a Loot Bug after dealing the final blow or, if it is on the wall, jump up to its height to collect the materials. Thanks to this simple trick, all resources will go straight into the player's bag.

Golden Loot Bug

Golden Loot Bug is a special type of creature that carries raw materials. Like its regular counterpart, this neutral golden-colored creature is completely harmless to the player. A Golden Loot Bug sticks very well to any surface so it can crawl on both the ground and the walls. Unlike its regular counterpart, the Golden Loot Bug carries only one raw material, Gold, but in large quantities.

Huuli Hoarder

Huuli Hoarder is a special variation of the neutral creature found in Deep Rock Galactic. This extremely rare creature usually occurs while performing missions with Mineral Mania anomaly. Like the regular Loot Bug, it is completely harmless to the player. What distinguishes Huuli Hoarder from regular Loot Bug is that it carries a large amount of Nitra and gold, but also other rare resources limited to a specific biome, such as Croppa, Umanite or Magnite.

Huuli Hoarder is very easy to scare off - it will start running when it receives even the smallest amount of damage - Deep Rock Galactic: Loot Bugs - types, loot - Basics - Deep Rock Galactic Guide

Huuli Hoarder is very easy to scare off - it will start running when it receives even the smallest amount of damage. From this point on, the race against time begins - the team will either eliminate the Huuli Hoarder, or the creature will bury itself in the ground. At higher threat levels, a Huuli Hoarder can require an awful lot of ammunition, so it's not always cost-effective. When Huuli Hoarder is running away, it leaves behind various raw materials that can later be collected and deposited.
