How to open a portal with challenges in Dead Cells?

The Challenge Rifts are found and opened in random locations in the game world - See, That Wasnt So Hard Now, Was It? Trophy in Dead Cells - Trophy Guide - Dead Cells Game Guide

The Challenge Rifts are found and opened in random locations in the game world. During the game you have to look for the secret symbols, but for the purpose of opening the portal it has to be a symbol placed on the floor. An example of such a place is shown in the attached picture.

When you interact with the symbol, the portal of challenges will open - See, That Wasnt So Hard Now, Was It? Trophy in Dead Cells - Trophy Guide - Dead Cells Game Guide

When you interact with the symbol, the portal of challenges will open. Note - Try to pass the challenge only if the main character is not very weakened. You must be aware that a bad attempt may make it difficult for you to complete the current game. It's worth to search for Challenge Rifts in the initial locations where in case of problems you will not lose too much progress yet, e.g. on the Promenade of the Condemned.

After passing through the portal you can collect the treasures (usually scrolls, gold, cells, amulets and new weapons), but then you have to go through the obstacle course - See, That Wasnt So Hard Now, Was It? Trophy in Dead Cells - Trophy Guide - Dead Cells Game Guide

After passing through the portal you can collect the treasures (usually scrolls, gold, cells, amulets and new weapons), but then you have to go through the obstacle course. Each challenge is different because the locations are randomly generated. Here are some universal hints:

  1. Use the "Look around mode" to determine the types of traps and if it's not required don't hurry in avoiding them.
  2. Beware of any parts of the floor that may collapse under the hero. Run on them quickly or bounce off them fast if you need to jump to a higher level.
  3. Use crouch to avoid rotating traps. Thanks to it, after each successful jump you can rest for a moment and get to know with the current situation.
  4. The missile firing traps force you to perform the right choice of interaction between activities over time. Take a few moments to determine how often and in what order the missiles are released.
  5. If you need to jump over a long row of spikes, in addition to making a double jump, press the roll button at the end. This will slightly increase the overall jump length.

You will get the trophy when you reach the final portal. Going through it will end the challenge and you will return to the main map.
