The following chapter will include the essential information about The Old Sewers in Dead Cells. You'll learn the characteristic traits of the locations, its dangers, and the enemies that roam it.
Characteristic of the location
The Old Sewers appear to be the extension of The Toxic Sewers, only with much more powerful enemies. Same as with the other location, poisonous waters are an additional danger, resulting in poisoning after even a short contact.
This location will feature your second elite enemy, whom you'll need to defeat to acquire an essential rune. You'll be facing a warrior - Slasher, and the battle will not be an easy one. The room with the elite enemy is marked on the map, as seen on the screenshot above.
Enemies and other dangers
Aside from the aforementioned poisonous water, you may also expect each and every of the obstacles you've encountered earlier - spikes and spiked balls - in addition to poison.
The locations is guaranteed to include the room with the elite enemy, as you're required to receive the Teleportation Rune after you defeat him. Once defeated, the elite enemy will not appear again in the same playthrough.
Description and countermeasure
Upon seeing you, it will twist and prepare a charge. If you're close, shower it in attacks. You may also jump above it or roll to avoid the charge.
One of the more difficult enemies in this locations. Attacking his shield will do you no good, and he'll be able to execute a shield charge that will stun you and deal some nasty damage. The only way to deal with him is to jumping or rolling behind his back and executing a fast attack. He reacts quickly to flanking attempts, but land even a single attack on him, and he will be defenseless.
This enemy can execute charges and will follow you. If you see it bare its fangs, dodge. The important thing is that it will spawn several bombs upon death, so jump away as soon as you're done with the guy.
An irritating enemy, often encountered in swarms. It hovers slightly above you, so that you cannot hit it with a normal attack while it launches fast attacks from above. Take them down as they come, because they just love to follow you and can be deadly in larger swarms.
Has a very good range. Once it sees you, it will send spikes to the section of the floor on which you're standing. When battling a Spiker you'll have to remain on the move and avoid the spikes, which not only can appear pretty far from the Spiker, but also cover a pretty large area.
