Dead Space Remake is a survival horror for adults that can cause discomfort for some players. On this page, you will find out if there are drastic or scary scenes and whether they can be somehow limited - automatically or by the player.
Inappropriate and scary scenes in the game
Dead Space Remake contains many scenes that should be experienced only by adult players. These include attacks and transformation scenes of necromorphs, scenes of sudden appearance of monsters, hallucinations, torture, curses, brutal deaths or scenes where a character may commit suicide. All M-rated scenes known from the original are available in the remake. They have not been censored in any way.
Warnings and limiting violent scenes
Exposure to drastic scenes may make it difficult or impossible for players with lower resistance to this type of content to enjoy the game. The remake includes options thanks to which you can prepare for or limit drastic scenes.
You can find options related to M-rated scenes in the Accessibility tab. These are:
- Show Content Warning - You receive a warning just before a disturbing scene.
- Hide Disturbing Scenes - A filter is applied to the screen that covers the disturbing part. The censorship does not concern the audio.
