1 - Dead Space Remake: Game length - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide
  1. Dead Space should take around 10-12 hours to complete. In general, it can be assumed that each of the twelve chapters should take up to 1 hour on average.
  2. Completing the Dead Space remake quickly can prove challenging even for veterans of the series. This is mainly due to a mechanism called "Intensity Director", which analyzes the player's actions on an ongoing basis and adjusts the gameplay accordingly. For example, if the game discovers that you are easily and quickly dealing with opponents, it can spawn more Necromorphs or other impediments that may slow down your progress. In addition, the play time can be affected by the difficulty level - on higher levels, the monsters can be stronger, and Isaac can die more easily.
  3. The game can be extended by thorough exploration and the search for secrets and collectibles. Fortunately, Dead Space rewards you with careful exploration of the locations, because you can find, for example, additional supplies or schematics for new items. Exploration of all locations in 100% can add several hours to the total play time.
  4. Getting 100% of the achievements can also affect it. Some trophies may force you to perform special actions that would be skipped during a normal playthrough.
