Dead by Daylight: Archives - what are they? Dead by Daylight guide, tips

On this page of the guide to DBD you will find the answer to the question of what are Archives.

Last update: 20 October 2022

In DBD you can find the Archives, a collection of tasks for Killers and Survivors. On this page of the guide you will find a description of this mode.

What are Archives?

The Archives are a collection of special quests for Killers and Survivors. To complete them, you have to meet certain requirements. For example, perform an action using a particular perk. They are divided into four-part tomes.

For completing the tasks in the current tome, you receive the so-called Rift fragments - Dead by Daylight: Archives - what are they? - Basics - Dead by Daylight Guide

For completing the tasks in the current tome, you receive the so-called Rift fragments. They translate into Rift progression, something like battle passes. This means you will receive rewards for each successive level - cosmetic items or one of the currencies available in the game. What you get depends on whether you complete a free track or purchase the better version.

After a certain time, the Rift closes and the tome expires. You can still play it to test your skills and earn extra Bloodpoints.

In addition to the more valuable rewards, the tomes also unlock character stories that are the theme of the game's plot - Dead by Daylight: Archives - what are they? - Basics - Dead by Daylight Guide

In addition to the more valuable rewards, the tomes also unlock character stories that are the theme of the game's plot. You receive fragments of the story for completing Master Quests.

Types of quests

There are two types of quests in the Archives. The first ones - regular ones - only oblige you to achieve the objective. There are no time limits. The second ones are called Master, and they require you to complete the objective in one attempt. If you fail, all progress will reset.
