While exploring the world in Days Gone, markers of NERO Research Site may appear on the map. Getting to them can be troublesome. On this page of our guide we have reviewed the most common types of research sites.

If you get to the marker and do not see any buildings, it means that you are dealing with the NERO Research Site, as well as with a kind of a starting point. These places have to be explored as well as the main Nero Checkpoints. As for the research sites there is also the possibility to find an injector that will constantly increase the hero's stats.

There are two main types of NERO Research Sites. The first type is NERO research camp inside the caves. If you do not find anything in the place indicated by the game, then inspect the neighborhood for the entrance to the cave.

Many caves are inhabited by hordes of Freakers during the day. Then don't try to enter the cave because there is no chance to defeat the monsters. Instead, wait until nightfall for the Horde to leave the cave and begin to explore the area.

Turn on the flashlight (the lower direction button on the cross pad) and carefully search the cave. You should find a small camp and a white box with an injector.

The second type of NERO Research Sites are the research points behind small precipices. In this case, it is necessary to equip Deacon's motorcycle deacon in nitro - we described that on a separate page How to unlock nitro? in the Motorcycle section.

Look around near the research point and find a place to jump. Point your bike at it with nitro enabled, so you safely may jump to the other side.

Finding a way to the camp shouldn't be a problem. Upon arrival, locate the white box and remove the syringe from it.
