Trophies list in Dark Souls Dark Souls Guide

This guide cointains list of all trophies and steam achievements in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered, for example: Bond of a Pyromancer, Art of Abysswalking, Chaos Weapon, Crystal Weapon.

This page lists all of the achievements / trophies available in Dark Souls. You can acquire them on all of the platforms for which the game has been released, with the sole exception of Nintendo Switch, which does not offer any system of achievements. Trophies are common for the basic version of Dark Souls, as well as the Dark Souls Remastered one, the latter offering, among others, numerous improvements to the graphics. There are a total of 41 trophies to acquire - 18 Bronze, 20 Silver, 2 Gold and one Platinum (only on PS3 and PS4 versions of the game).

Art of Abysswalking

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: You must master the art of abysswalking.

Commentary: This trophy is related to the game's progression. You need to confront the Great Grey Wolf Sif boss in the Darkroot Garden location - information on how to get to the location can be found in our walkthrough and the description of the boss encounter is located in the chapter on bosses, in our guide to Dark Souls. As a reward for killing the boss, you will receive a Covenant of Antorias ring, allowing you to enter the Abyss.

Bond of a Pyromancer

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: You must collect all the pyromancies.

Commentary: There are 19 unique pyromancies to acquire. A complete list of pyromancies, as well as the locations of their acquisition can be found in Sorceries, miracles and pyromancies chapter of this guide.

Additional note - Be careful during meetings with independent characters, as an accidental attack on a person offering pyromancy can effectively prevent you from acquiring the trophy.

Chaos Weapon

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Acquire best weapon through chaos reinforcement.

Commentary: This achievement requires the acquisition of the Chaos Flame Ember component (look for it in Demon's Ruins location) - more on this topic can be found in Enhancement chapter of this guide. Afterwards, you need to visit a blacksmith in The Catacombs and develop any weapon or shield to the rank of Chaos +5.

Covenant: Blade of the Darkmoon

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Blade of the Darkmoon covenant.

Commentary: Blade of the Darkmoon is one of the available Covenants in Dark Souls. A full list of all available covenants can be found in "Covenants - where to join?" chapter of this guide. In order to discover the Blade of the Darkmoon covenant, you need to speak with the boss Gwyndolin in Anor Lendo.

Covenant: Chaos Servant

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Chaos Servant covenant.

Commentary: Chaos Servant is one of the available Covenants in Dark Souls. A full list of all available covenants can be found in "Covenants - where to join?" chapter of this guide. In order to discover the Chaos Servant covenant, you need to - once the boss encounter with Queelag is over - find the secret passage to the location with the White Spider with whom you can talk.

Covenant: Darkwraith

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Darkwraith covenant.

Commentary: Darkwraith is one of the available Covenants in Dark Souls. A full list of all available covenants can be found in "Covenants - where to join?" chapter of this guide. In order to discover the Darkwraith covenant, you need to defeat The Abyss boss and meet Kaathe.

Covenant: Forest Hunter

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Forest Hunter covenant.

Covenant: Gravelord Servant

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Gravelord Servant covenant.

In order to discover the Gravelord Servant covenant, you need to meet with Nito in Catacombs before the boss encounter with Pinwheel.

Covenant: Path of the Dragon

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Path of the Dragon covenant.

Covenant: Princess's Guard

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Princess' Guard covenant.

In order to discover the Princess' Guard covenant, you need to speak with Gwynevere after defeating Ormstein and Smough.

Covenant: Warrior of Sunlight

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Discover Warrior of Sunlight covenant.

Commentary: Warrior of Sunlight is one of the available Covenants in Dark Souls. A full list of all available covenants can be found in "Covenants - where to join?" chapter of this guide. In order to discover the Warrior of Sunlight covenant, you need to acquire 25 Faith and visit the bonfire in Undead Parish.

Covenant: Way of White

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Discover Way of White covenant.

Commentary: Way of White is one of the available Covenants in Dark Souls. A full list of all available covenants can be found in "Covenants - where to join?" chapter of this guide. In order to discover the Way of White covenant, you need to speak with Petrus in Firelink Shrine or with Reah in Undead Parish.

Crystal Weapon

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Acquire best weapon through crystal reinforcement.

Commentary: This trophy requires the acquisition of Large Ember (look for it in the Depths) and Crystal Ember (visit the Duke's area while on the way to the Crystal Cave) - more on that topic can be found in Enhancement chapter of this guide. Afterwards, you need to visit a blacksmith in The Catacombs and develop any weapon or shield to the rank of Crystal +5.

Another method to acquire the trophy is to find the Crystal Halberd in a chest in Anor Londo and develop it to +5. By doing so you will not have to acquire both of the rare ingredients - Large Ember and Crystal Ember.

Dark Lord

Type of trophy: Gold

How to unlock: Reach "The Dark Lord" ending.

Commentary: "The Dark Lord" is one of the two main endings of the game. You need to start by defeating the final boss of the game - Gwyn Lord of Cinder. Once you have done it, leave the location without lighting the bonfire.

A valuable note - in theory, this achievement is mutually exclusive to "To link the Fire" which is about unlocking another ending. You can, however, easily get around this restriction by making a copy of the current state of the game, before the fight with the final boss begins. Once you acquire the described trophy, you can exit the game, restore the older save game, launch the game again and behave differently after re-defeating the final boss. This method is not available on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch consoles, as both of them lack the possibility of transferring saves to a USB stick or to another directory on the hard drive (PC).

Defeat Bed of Chaos

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Defeat the Soul Lord Bed of Chaos.

Commentary: This trophy is related to the game's progression. The Bed of Chaos is a boss encountered in the ending part of Lost Izalith location - check our walkthrough, as well as the chapter on bosses for details.

Defeat Crossbreed Priscilla

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Defeat Crossbreed Priscilla, the Lifehunter.

Commentary: Crossbreed Priscilla is one of the bosses in Dark Souls and the encounter with her is optional. Defeat the Four Kings

Defeat Seath the Scaleless

How to unlock: Defeat Seath the Scaleless, Inheritor of Souls.

Defeat The Dark Sun Gwyndolin

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Defeat Dark Sun Gwyndolin, the Darkmoon God.

How to unlock: Acquire best weapon through divine reinforcement.

Commentary: This trophy requires the acquisition of Divine Ember (look for it in Darkroot Garden) and Large Divine Ember (visit Tomb of the Giants) - more on that topic can be found in Enhancement chapter of this guide. Afterwards, you need to visit a blacksmith in Under Parish and develop any weapon or shield to the rank of Divine +10.

Enchanted Weapon

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Acquire the best weapon through enchanted reinforcement.

Commentary: This trophy requires the acquisition of Enchanted Ember (go to Darkroot Garden and locate a chest protected by monsters) - more on that topic can be found in Enhancement chapter of this guide. Afterwards, you need to visit a blacksmith in New Lando Ruins and develop any weapon or shield to the rank of Enchanted +5.

Enkindle

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Light a bonfire flame.

Commentary: This trophy is practically impossible to miss, as you can light up bonfires in many places in the world of the game, saving the game in the process.

Estus Flask

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Acquire the Estus Flask.

Commentary: This trophy is practically impossible to miss. An Estus Bottle is acquired from a wounded soldier at the very beginning of the game - more on that can be found in Undead Asylum chapter of this guide.

Fire Weapon

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Acquire the best weapon through fire reinforcement.

Commentary: This trophy requires the acquisition of Large Flame Ember (go to Demon's Ruins and locate a chest protected by monsters) - more on that topic can be found in Enhancement chapter of this guide. Afterwards, you need to visit a blacksmith in The Catacombs and develop any weapon or shield to the rank of Fire +10.

Knight's Honor

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: Acquire all rare weapons.

Commentary: This is a very time-consuming and complicated trophy to acquire. In order to unlock it, you need to acquire 32 unique weapons and craft 15 more with the souls of defeated enemies.

Unique weapons are acquired in two ways - by exploring the areas or in the form of trophies for defeated monsters (remember to cut off their tails, if possible). The following tables contain information about the places and/or circumstances of their acquisition. Special weapons crafted from the souls of bosses are more troublesome, as each boss leaves only a single soul behind. This means that you will need to defeat some of the bosses 2 or even 3 times during re-runs of the game. We have included the full list of weapons below.

Another method to acquire the trophy is to find the Lightning Spear in a chest in Sen's Fortress and develop it to +5. By doing so, you will not have to acquire the rare ingredient Large Ember.

Lordvessel

Type of trophy: Silver

How to unlock: You need to acquire the Lordvessel.

Magic Weapon

How to unlock: Acquire the best weapon through magic reinforcement.

Reach Lordran

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Reach Lordran.

Ring the Bell: Quelaag's Domain

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Ring Bell of Awakening in Quelaag Domain.

Commentary: This trophy cannot be missed, as it is related to the progress in the main storyline. You will get a chance to ring the bell during your visit in Quelaag's Domain - thoroughly described in our walkthrough. You first need to defeat Quelaag Chaos Witch - the encounter was described in the chapter about bosses.

Ring the Bell: Undead Church

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Ring Bell of Awakening in Undead Church.

Commentary: This trophy cannot be missed, as it is related to the progress in the main storyline. You will get a chance to ring the bell during your visit in Undead Parish - thoroughly described in our walkthrough. You first need to defeat Bell Gargoyles - the encounter was described in the chapter about bosses.

Rite of Kindling

Type of trophy: Bronze

How to unlock: Acquire the Rite of Kindling.

Afterwards, you need to visit a blacksmith in Undead Parish and develop any weapon or shield to the rank of Standard +15.

The Dark Soul

Type of trophy: Platinum

How to unlock: Acquire all the remaining trophies.

To Link the Fire

Type of trophy: Gold

How to unlock: Reach "To Link the Fire" ending.

Commentary: "To Link the FIre" is one of the two main endings of the game. You need to start by defeating the final boss of the game - Gwyn Lord of Cinder. Once you have done it, light up the bonfire in the same location.
