This page of our Darksiders 3 guide contains a walkthrough for Festering Pool. Festering Pool is a vast place where in addition to combat, the player will also do a lot of exploration and puzzle-solving, associated with, among others, neutral creatures.

Activate the next checkpoint and deal with Vulgrim.

When you go out in the open, you'll witness a battle of angels with demons. Join the fun and eliminate them all.

On the right side hangs one opponent to be knocked down. Unfortunately, you'll be unable to jump on a higher level yourself, so you must look for another path.

On the left side, there is a pool filled with acid. Don't go there, because you'll lose your health quickly.

Jump on top of the neutral creature.

Now you must learn to control it. Your task is to lead the creature to the elevation of the terrain you've just seen. Controlling the creature is very simple: you hit it the left side - the creature moves to the right side, etc.

When you reach the wall, jump up and prepare for a fight.

After a short while, a griffon will fall from the sky, which is a very strong opponent. Watch out for claw attacks, jumps and the beam of energy it fires from its mouth.

Behind the waterfall there is a small grotto with an item to collect.

A little further on, you'll find a few opponents to defeat and one hanging enemy to knock down. On the left, you will find an item in a hole in the wall.

Jump through the barricade with buses. There may be an opponent on the other side. Then jump into the water.

Dive and collect an item. Then jump out of the water and climb to the street level.

Eliminate your opponent and go through a hole in the wall.

Several opponents are waiting for you inside. After the battle, go through the door on the right side, which is a bit further away.

Opposite you'll find an item, and inside you may encounter an opponent.

Burn a passage through the spiderweb on the other side of the room.

Ahead of you is another neutral creature. Go to the creature and climb onto it.

Climb on the creature and hit it in such a way that it moves towards the scaffolding. The creature will not stop, so you need to jump in time to land on the scaffolding.

When you enter the upper level you'll be immediately attacked by an opponent, but it should not pose a threat to you.

Go to the next room.

Watch out for one hanging enemy and an opponent who walks on the scaffolding.

Go through the next door. You can expect an enemy attack.

Collect the item from the balcony and return inside.

Now you have to jump to the other side using your main weapon. Collect the item and return to the other side. In the meantime, you can knock down the hanged man on the right side.

Turn around and go through the hole in the wall.

Your task will be to destroy the purple wall. On the left side you can see a cocoon with the substance. You know what to do.

Bring the beetle to the substance and wait until it devours it. Then grab it and throw it at the wall.

This opened you an entrance to the room with a neutral creature.

Now you have to break the obstacle on the wall inside the building. Wait for the beetle to absorb the substance, then go into aiming mode and aim well. Then pick up the beetle and throw it at the obstacle.

Note that on the other side of the room there is also a small obstacle to break. You must deal with it in the same way as the previous one.

Inside of the small room you'll find an artifact.

Go outside for a moment, to the beetle location and jump onto the containers.

You can save another man and collect an item.

Go into the room with the creature and climb onto it. Then hit it in such a way that it flies towards the hole in the wall. Then go to the room on the left side.

Now hit the creature so that it glides to the exit.

Now, all you have to do is to direct the creature to the abyss and jump to the other side.

Enter the next building.

Behind the container you'll find an item. Proceed and get ready for a fight.

When you enter deeper into the building, you'll come to an arena where a large welcoming committee is waiting for you. You'll have to fight several opponents at once, and then you'll have to fight one much stronger opponent.

After winning the fight and a short cut-scene, you'll receive a new weapon from Usiel - Salvation.

Go upstairs, then jump into the cage and collect the item. Jump outside and continue searching for the hangar.

Go downstairs to the lower floor. On the shelves visible in the distance, there will be another item to collect.

Using the corridor behind Usiel you'll reach the end of this stage of the game. Jump all the way down.
