After starting Cyberpunk 2077 you will have to choose the difficulty level. It all depends on how often you play similar games, and what you really want from the game. The lowest difficulty mode is designed for casual players who are not particularly accustomed to continuous combat and aiming. However, if you consider yourself a veteran, the developers have prepared a hardcore mode.
- Hardcore mode and lack of interface
- Difficulty level and exploration
- Difficulty level and style of play
- No enemy level scaling
Hardcore mode and lack of interface
Hardcore mode will not only strengthen your enemies but also deactivate the interface. This is an additional obstacle that will make you not see, for example, how much damage you inflict with each shot.
Difficulty level and exploration
The level of difficulty does not limit you in any way. You can explore the entire world from the beginning. You should, however, beware of enemies - they will attack you regardless of your level. If you enter their territory, they will attack you without hesitation.
Difficulty level and style of play
The authors of Cyberpunk 2077 want to offer a challenge that won't be affected by the player's play style. Thus, it will be possible to create a strong character specializing, for example, in direct combat, stealth or hacking. No style of play should be favored. This choice allows the player to choose their favorite style of play, rather than forcing them to be interested in those that make the gameplay easier.
No enemy level scaling
Since Cyberpunk 2077 has no enemy level scaling, you have to be careful where you travel. If you encounter high-level opponents at the beginning of the game, start running away.
Just like in The Witcher 3, the level of experience of enemies is displayed next to their names. This makes it easier to determine whether your character will be able to defeat them at your current level.
