Aiming plays an incredibly important role in CrossFire - Aiming in CrossFire | Gameplay - Gameplay - CrossFire Game Guide

Aiming plays an incredibly important role in CrossFire. It is accuracy and appropriate positioning of the reticle that affects your results in the game, even if you are not conducting fire at that moment. Also, thanks to this, your account evolves faster and you gain higher ranks. from this chapter, you will learn how to improve on your accuracy.

Appropriate positioning of the reticle

The most effective way to eliminate your opponent is shoot to the head, thanks to which you will deal maximum damage in as short time as possible. This is especially important while using weapons that are capable of eliminating the opponent immediately, such as AK-47. When it comes to other weapons, you may need two, or even three accurate shots. This is why it is a good idea to get used to holding the reticle at the height, at which you expect the opponent's head to be, thanks to which you maximize your chances of eliminating the target.

A player that keeps the reticle at the head height stand a greater chance of eliminating the opponent

While leaning out from behind a wall, or another obstacle, try to keep the reticle at the height that the opponent's head may appear at.

By keeping the reticle at that height, you will cut short time required to correct alignment, when a head pops up.

While fighting a target that remains in constant movement, do not shoot blindly, but try to predict the next move the target makes and take an accurate shot.

Recoil compensation

Each weapon in CrossFire has its own recoil effect (some of them have as many as 3 that occur at random), as a result of which keeping the reticle steady, while conducting auto fire, may be problematic and requires constant correction of reticle position. Learning mechanics of individual weapons is key to improving your results in the game.

While learning the flight path of bullets, you can use the shooting range, available in the shop - Aiming in CrossFire | Gameplay - Gameplay - CrossFire Game Guide

While learning the flight path of bullets, you can use the shooting range, available in the shop. You only have to access the shop in the game, select the weapon and enter the training map. You can test flight path on a wall or one of the targets. In the case of the M4A1 rifle, the first two rounds fly, more or less, straight into the target, and then the barrel travels to the left. To compensate for recoil, you only have to drag the barrel slightly down and to the left, and then counter recoil by moving the mouse slightly to the left. During the last phase of shooting, you should start moving the mouse to the right
