This page contains a list of all trophies available in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Every description includes the requirements of unlocking and tips on how to do it the easiest. The more complicated trophies are described on separate pages of this guide.

99 Percent Perspiration

Trophy type: Gold

Unlocking: You have to collect 99 lives.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

A Diamond in the Rough

Trophy type: Silver - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to unlock a secret path with the use of a colored Gem.

Commentary: There are several colored Gems you can find in the game: Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow, and Red. The Blue one is the easiest to obtain because you get it for completing the first stage of Turtle Woods without destroying crates. Having acquired any colored Gem, you have to start a level that lets you use such an artifact. For example, if you have the Blue Gem, Hang Eight is the ideal candidate. In this stage, place the Blue Gem in the slot shown in the above picture (it happens automatically). You'll unlock the trophy once the moving platform has taken you to the secret path. You don't need to explore it until the end.

A Helping Paw

Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Unlocking: You have to mount the bear cub from the portal room several times.

Commentary: It is an easy trophy that can be unlocked once you've reached the second portal room: Ice Warp Room. In this area, you will find the bear cub shown in the picture. Start to bounce off it until you get the trophy and 10 extra lives.

A Road Less Travelled

Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Unlocking: You have to uncover a bonus round marked with a question mark.

Commentary: It's a very easy to unlock this trophy. Bonus rounds are found in most stages, and the first one can be run across as early as during the first level of Turtle Woods. You are taken to bonus rounds by pressure plates with a question mark (an example in the image above). You will receive the trophy right after you've been taken to a bonus round. You don't need to complete it.

Boom Shakalaka!

Trophy type: Gold - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Gold

Unlocking: You have to eliminate five opponents with Double Leg Drop as Coco.

Commentary: This is definitely the easiest Gold trophy available in the game. You can find Coco after unlocking the second portal room - Ice Warp Room. In this area, you will find her next to the time machine (image 1). Interact with her and confirm the will to recruit her.

From this point on, you can select a playable character before you start a new level (except for boss fights). It is done by pressing R2. Return to any level (i.e. the first stage of Turtle Woods) and start playing Coco. The Double Leg Drop attack is carried out when you press Circle while Coco is in the air (picture 2). It is the equivalent of Crash's full-body ground hit. Use this attack five times on the enemies you encounter, for example, Turtles or Armadillos.

Buzz Off!

Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Unlocking: You have to make Crash die by a sting.

Commentary: It is an easy trophy that can be unlocked in the Diggin' It level, which is a part of the Alpine Warp Room. In this stage, there are nests similar to the one from the above picture. Once you pass one, a bee will start chasing Crash. Don't try to run and don't attack it. Let it sting you to make the protagonist die and unlock the trophy.

Cheated Death (For the Time Being)

Trophy type: Silver - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to discover a Death Route.

Commentary: Death Routes are available in select stages. They are secret locations that you can access only once you've met specific requirements. To unlock a Death Route, you need to keep Crash from dying on your way to it, otherwise it becomes unavailable. The first Death Routes can be found in the Air Crash level - it is shown in the above picture. This and other Death Routes can be recognized by the skull icon. The trophy is awarded right after you've jumped onto the platform that takes you to a Death Route. You don't need to complete it.

Cortex N. Adequate

Trophy type: Gold

Unlocking: You need to beat the final boss, Neo Cortex.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

Cortex N. Furiated

Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Unlocking: You must anger doctor Neo Cortex.

Commentary: This trophy can only be obtained at the beginning of the game. If you miss the opportunity to unlock it, go back to the game selection menu of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and confirm the will to start a new game. Attention - if you've relied only on automatic game saving thus far, create a manual save since the autosave may be overwritten by the game. Optionally, you can temporarily switch off the autosave feature in the option menu.

Once you've completed the prologue, you will find yourself in the portal room for the first time and listen to a speech made by Cortex (the above picture). Choose any portal and when the level has loaded, then select the quit option to go back to the portal hall without completing the stage. Repeat this action two more times (you can choose any level) and a conversation with the angered scientist will trigger, giving you the trophy.

Crash Cubed

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to die while in the air.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

Hang In There, Maybe!

Trophy type: Silver - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to find the secret passage in the Hangin' Out level.

Commentary: The trophy is connected to finding one of five secret portals in Crash Bandicoot 2. In the Hangin' Out level, you will be forced to jump into a small hole (the location with many destructible crates). Having landed in the new parts of the sewers, move towards the bottom part of the screen and jump into the small hole marked in the picture 1. The tunnel will lead you to the location shown in the image 2. Here, you have to avoid even faster robots but you can also find a few extra lives. Then, move to the metal ledge visible in the distance and a secret portal will activate.

Island Hopping

Trophy type: Silver - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to find a secret passage in the Bear Down level.

Commentary: The trophy is connected to finding one of five secret portals in Crash Bandicoot 2. Having finished the ride on the bear cub, you will be catapulted to the ice ledge that neighbors the level's end area. Don't go there. Instead, start jumping to the floating platforms at the bottom of the screen (attention - they will go under water!). Once you've reached the ledge from the above picture, you will unlock the secret portal and the trophy.

Kick the Tires!

Trophy type: Bronze

Unlocking: Collect 5 Relics.

Commentary: See the Wumpa-Burner Engaged! trophy description page. The only difference in the case of the said trophy is the fact that you can collect any kind of Relic, even the "worse" Sapphire ones.

Komodo No Mo

Trophy type: Bronze

Unlocking: You have to defeat the Komodo Brothers.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

Laser Powered Vengeance

Trophy type: Gold

Unlocking: You have to collect all 42 Gems.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

Light the Fires!

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to collect at least 10 Relics (Gold or better).

Commentary: See the Wumpa-Burner Engaged! trophy description page.

Mech Wrecked

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to defeat Nitrus Gin.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

No Bear Left Behind

Trophy type: Silver - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to find the secret passage in the Un-Bearable level.

Commentary: The trophy is connected to finding one of five secret portals in Crash Bandicoot 2. Having completed all grand bear escape scenes, don't go towards the portal that ends the level but turn in the direction of the precipice shown in the picture 1, instead (the one to which the big bear fell). You have to jump over to its far side. It is quite problematic since you have to make a long jump. Start running towards the precipice and make a slide attack (Circle), and before it ends, press the jump button (Cross). This will let Crash fly farther.

Move on and reach the bear cub shown in the image 2, the that "helped" you in the last part of the Un-Bearable level. Mount it and a secret portal as well as the trophy will unlock.

One Man's Trash

Trophy type: Gold

Unlocking: You have to collect 21 out of 42 Gems.

Commentary: Colored Gems count, too (there are 5 of them in the game). See the Laser Powered Vengeance trophy description page for more details.

Professor Pulverized

Trophy type: Bronze

Unlocking: You have to defeat Ripper Roo.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

The Flora Flop

Trophy type: Silver - Trophy list | Crash Bandicoot 2 Trophy Guide - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Game Guide

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to find a secret passage in the Diggin' It level.

Commentary: The trophy is connected to finding one of five secret portals in Crash Bandicoot 2. In the Diggin' It level, you need to reach the left platform shown in the above picture. There is a spitting plant on it (this place is found in the further part of the stage). In order to unlock the secret portal, you have to jump towards the platform with the plant AND also press Circle while in the air. Crash will hit the plant with is entire body and will get rid of it, activating the portal at the same time.

The N. Credible Crash Bandicoot!

Trophy type: Platinum

Unlocking: You have to unlock all the remaining trophies.

Tiny Tricked

Trophy type: Silver

Unlocking: You have to defeat Tiny Tiger.

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.

Wumpa-Burner Engaged!

Trophy type: Gold

Unlocking: You have to collect 27 Relics (Gold or better).

Commentary: A detailed description of this trophy can be found on a separate page of this chapter.
