In Crash Bandicoot 4, you can find four special gems that will allow you to enter hidden levels. On this page of our guide, you will find out about the location of the Red Gem and where to use it.
Location of the Red Gem
The Red Gem can be found on the N.Sanity Island map, at the N.Sanity Peak level.
You can find a save point after the bonus. When you walk through the door, there will be a stage with disappearing platforms.
Your job is to jump on platforms at the right time and in the right order. Only when you do that, the Red Gem will appear. You can't fall or exit the board during that stage.
You'll find a drawing at the door. It's located on the right wall near the entrance. This drawing contains instructions on how to get the Red Gem.
You have to jump on the disappearing platforms in the same order as the drawing showed. Start with the one most to the left (marked on the screen with the number 1). Then move counterclockwise. Make the entire route until you land on the middle platform. When you do it, the Red Gem will appear, and you will have to jump to it.
If you make a mistake, you have to jump on the first platform again to restart the sequence.
You must complete the level to collect the get the gem into your equipment. But if you die, you don't have to go back for it.
Use of the Red Gem
A hidden area that you will unlock after obtaining the Red Gem is on the Crash Compactor level.
The road will lead you to a board, where you can get a few boxes. Unfortunately, you won't get anything but the boxes, neither new outfits nor secrets.
Your job is to jump over gears that way, so you don't lose your life. But you have to be careful. There are a lot of opponents, traps, or burners around. It's easy to lose a life on this short level.
When you get to the end of the board, you're back on the Crash Compactor map.
