This guide page to Chernobylite contains a walkthrough for the Excuses quest. With this guide, you will successfully complete the task.

The goal of this task is the final confrontation with Semenov, who is hiding in the NAR camp in the center of Pripyat.

The scientist is in one of the tents located behind the main building. If you want to avoid bloodshed, you have to watch the military patrolling the area and sneak past them.

When you get to the tent, all you have to do is confront Semenov. Question him and then decide his fate (NOTE! this decision will have an impact on the final mission):

1. you can kill Semenov but this will make your relationship with Olivier worse;
2. you can spare Semenov but this will worsen your relationship with Tarakan.
