In this chapter of our Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 guide we'll explain what to do if you can't detect one of the necessary parts to replace. We advise on how to find the broken part and how to quickly examine the car.
On normal difficulty and higher, the commissions in Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 often don't show you all parts that need replacement and are required to cash in the reward. In that case, they're described by a sentence "part not discovered". Most of the worn-out parts need to be discovered on your own. Taking the entire car apart always works, but it takes time and isn't always necessary.
Damaged parts can be identified in several ways, depending on their location inside the vehicle:
- car examination mode;
- use of diagnostic tools;
- driving down the test track;
- checking the car's condition on the diagnostic path.
Detailed instructions on using these methods can be found in the chapters: Malfunction Diagnostics and Locations - Test Track and Diagnostic Path.
If, even after finishing the examination, there are still many undiscovered parts on the list, you can be certain that most of them will be rubber bushings and small rubber bushings, which are plentiful in the car's suspension, both in the front and in the rear.
Rubber bushings are present no matter how old the car is, or how the suspension is built.
Another elements that can be troublesome to locate are rod caps and crankshaft bearing caps, found on the bottom of an engine after removing the oil pan.
On the other side, on top of the engine, after taking off the engine head cover you can find similar camshaft caps.
