Decisions in the mission

Killing DeFalco or letting him escape

Saving Karma

At the end of the mission when you, chasing DeFalco, go outside and get closer to your target for not less than 100 meters (picture above), it will mean taking another decision - you can catch up with DeFalco and kill him, which means saving Karma, or let him get away with her - Mission 06 - KARMA | Decisions, consequences, endings - Decisions, consequences, endings - Call of Duty: Black Ops II Game Guide & Walkthrough

This decision has partial impact on the end of the campaign - if you don't save Karma, you can do it during the next strike-force mission entitled Second Chance.

If you don't manage to get to DeFalco on time, in the upper left corner you will see a cutscene showing DeFalco entering the airfield. When you get there, you'll notice a departing plane (picture above). The strike-force mission entitled Second Chance will be unlocked - as the name suggests, this is the second (and the last) chance to save Karma. Obviously, DeFalco will survive and will appear in the next missions.

If you manage to run up to him, you'll have to kill him. Karma will be saved. You'll talk to her at the end of the mission, when Harper and Salazar will be bringing DeFalco's body on the plane (picture above). Mason will say that without Karma Menendez won't be able to work Celerium out. Karma will disagree, saying that it will only delay him, but he'll get what he wants anyway.

Consequences of this and the previous missions

The result of your actions from the previous mission will be apparent during the briefing (pictures above) and in all missions except the next one (although the information about this fact will be given in the guide only at this point) - Mission 06 - KARMA | Decisions, consequences, endings - Decisions, consequences, endings - Call of Duty: Black Ops II Game Guide & Walkthrough

The result of your actions from the previous mission will be apparent during the briefing (pictures above) and in all missions except the next one (although the information about this fact will be given in the guide only at this point). In addition, at the beginning of the mission, while getting off the plane, Harper will say that if he was not on a mission, he would go and have some fun with a hot chick at the hotel. If Harper didn't get burnt, then Salazar, walking next to him, will shake his head. If Harper did get burnt, Salazar will tell him that his face doesn't look too good. Harper will reply that it's his body that will attract the attention, not the face.
