Stone for the elevator
Once you cross the bridge, you will find yourself in a small village. Here you will find plenty of interesting information about the surrounding areas and the expedition.
You have to solve a few puzzles here. Their description can be found on a separate page of this guide.
In the huts you will find photographs, documents, clues and symbols needed for solving puzzles.
Although the village isn't big, it consists of several smaller areas. There are 2 or 3 huts in each of them.
One of them hides the first puzzle. You need to put the picture back together to create a coherent image. This won't be a difficult task and it can be made quicker if you start by laying out the page corners.
Once the picture is complete, you can proceed to the next puzzle. This time, you have to put together a totem pole. Doing this will open a passage.
Behind the wall, you will find the object necessary to start the elevator.
Starting the elevator
Bring the stone back to the elevator. You need to place it inside the hole on the floor to activate the whole structure.
You won't be forced to move on to the next location once you start the elevator - you will be able to return to this area without issue.
Excavation site
Above, you will find the excavation site and a small laboratory. Some important pictures are located here. You should take a look at them, even though it's not required to progress.
There's a photo of hands. The character won't hesitate to mention how similar they are to her own.
Once you have thoroughly examined all the objects, climb down the ladder towards the mysterious hole. You need to scour it for information about the upcoming puzzle. You just have to look at the elements from which black oil flows. When you get close to such an object, you will hear whispers, which can direct you.
Once you've gathered all three pieces of information, head back upstairs. It's time to head to the penultimate puzzle - the Telescope.
Telescope
Before you can use the Telescope, you must burn the correct symbols on the lens. These correspond with the ones you collected at the mysterious excavation site.
Put the finished lens into the telescope, and then look through it to see the next clue.
The end of the chapter
Return to the excavation site. Your task is to click on the correct symbols. This concludes the chapter.
If you want to do anything beforehand, don't grab the object from the pillar. Otherwise, you will immediately move onto Chapter 3.
