On this page of our Call of the Sea game guide, we provide the solution to one of the puzzles in Chapter 2 - The Everhart Expedition. We describe how to create the correct burn marks on the lens and uncover the clues to the next puzzle.
To solve this puzzle, you must first start the elevator - you will need to have solved the following puzzles beforehand:
1st clue
Chapter - Chapter 2 - The Everhart Expedition.
Location - at the excavation site.
To get this note, you need to examine the first hole. You just have to look at the elements from which black oil flows. You'll find the first one to left of the ladder.
2nd clue
Chapter - Chapter 2 - The Everhart Expedition.
Location - at the excavation site.
To get the second note, you need to examine the next item with the black oil flowing out. You'll find it if you head a bit to the right.
3rd clue
Chapter - Chapter 2 - The Everhart Expedition.
Location - at the excavation site.
This note isn't hard to find. All you have to do is examine the last piece with the oil coming out. It is located on the opposite side to the first item.
Creating the burn marks
You will need to create 6 burn marks on the lens; 2 small, 2 medium and 2 large. To do this, follow the previous instructions.
Simply use the two sliders that control the height (blue) and width (yellow).
The points should be arranged as showcased in the screenshot above:
- Small point - 5 height, 3 width;
- Small point - 4 height, 1 width;
- Middle point - 3 height, 3 width;
- Middle point - 2 height, 1 width;
- Large point - 1 height, 3 width;
- Large point-3 height, 5 width.
Once the lens is complete, insert it into the telescope.
