This chapter contains a lot of useful information and tips for Call of Duty Warzone. We have described the basics of gameplay, including such important things as, for example, effective and smooth movement on Verdansk map, the shooting mechanics and damage system, inventory and the interface.
In Call of Duty Warzone, you must use any methods that will allow you to survive and win the match - using elements of the environment, sprinting through open space, and tactical slide. The basic principles of survival in Call of Duty Warzone, of course, include the effective use of weapons, equipment management, and movement on Verdansk, which is a rather large map.
Moving around Verdansk can help you be more efficient in CoD Warzone. When you move from point A to point B, it is useful to know how to do it faster and more efficiently. Not only that, when moving around the map, you also have to keep in mind the fact that an enemy may be hiding in this area and waiting for the right moment to shoot. Besides the standard sprint and slide moves, Call of Duty Warzone also gives players the opportunity to use various vehicles to change their position on the map even faster.
Being on the move at all times is a very important aspect of CoD Warzone. It is much more difficult to hit a moving target than one that stands still. To increase your chances of survival, use sprint when you need to cover a long distance, especially in open terrain. Remember that you can't run indefinitely - your character will need to rest.
Players can crawl in Call of Duty Warzone. This is extremely useful when trying to take a good shooting position. If you lie down, for example, in bushes, you become almost invisible to the enemy. Leaning out from behind a low wall while crawling makes you almost completely covered, even when someone tries to shoot you from the roof of the building.
Sliding is an extremely useful technique when you want to quickly hide from fire. Moreover, it is useful for rapid descent from all kinds of hills. It is worth remembering that before using the slide, you must first take a run-up.
Overcoming terrain obstacles
Your hero is also able to overcome all sorts of obstacles, such as walls, containers, crates, or low cliffs. In addition, you can also break through windows and glass storefronts. All you have to do is take a run, jump in front of an obstacle, and wait for the character to perform the action.
Moving on the field as a team
In Call of Duty Warzone, you must learn how to function as a team. When moving from one point to another, you have to cover each other. The moment you notice an opponent's movement, immediately alert the rest of the team using the ping system or voice chat.
Vehicles available in Call of Duty Warzone help a lot in navigating the map of Verdansk. Vehicles are located in random locations on the map and have certain statistics in terms of speed, durability, and number of seats.
- ATV - fast, good for off-road use, but with minimal protection and only two seats.
- SUV - more armored than ATV, has four-seats but slightly slower means of transport. Not suitable for off-road driving.
- Tactical Rover - four-seats, fast, well-protected vehicle. Suitable for off-road driving.
- Cargo Truck - the slowest of all vehicles. Extremely well armored, capacious, but unfortunately not suitable for off-road driving.
- Helicopter - flying means of transport with four seats. The helicopter has a satisfactory speed and allows you to easily get to a specific location without having to struggle with the terrain topography.
In with each passing round in Call of Duty Warzone, the Verdansk map gets narrower and a large area of it becomes covered in toxic gas. Staying in a contaminated area rapidly reduces your health. However, you can get a few seconds to evacuate if you have a gas mask - it is the only way to protect you from the toxin.
Gas masks can be found literally everywhere - on the ground, in chests or collected from the bodies of defeated opponents. You can also purchase it at the purchase point for $3,000. The gas mask in Call of Duty Warzone is automatically put on when the player enters a contaminated area. However, you can't use it indefinitely. You can see horizontal bars on the right side of the mask that determine how many seconds you have left before the gas starts damaging you. Remember that a used gas mask can be replaced, giving you extra protection.
Call of Duty Warzone has introduced a new mechanic to Battle Royale games - Killstreaks. Killstreaks are bonuses received by scoring more kills.
All Killstreaks items can be purchased during a match for a certain amount of cash. Among the options available you have bombing, reconnaissance drone or guard turret. There are really many variants of Killstreaks - especially the destructive ones. Killstreaks can be used immediately or saved for later.
Perks in Call of Duty Warzone are additional skills for your operator. All Perks available in Warzone work very similar to those available in Modern Warfare.
Perks are divided into 3 categories and marked with a specific color: blue, red, and yellow. Each category has 6 possible options to choose from. You can choose the perks when creating custom loadouts - customize them to suit your gameplay style best. Among the perks available in Call of Duty Warzone, you can distinguish, for example, those that prevent your operator from being detected, allow them to carry two main weapons or limit the negative effect of stun and flash grenades.
Weapon blueprints in Call of Duty Warzone are a way to get a good weapon with additional modifications (often four or even five) without unlocking it. This means that low level profiles can use weapons available at a much higher level. Blueprints in CoD Warzone can be obtained in several ways: received in free bundles, through leveling Battle Pass, or purchased directly from the store.
All weapons available from Blueprints have different names than their originals. For example, the Cataclysmic shown in the image above is an improved, Legendary version of MP7 with 5 modifications. Although the Blueprint weapons already have modifications, you can change them at any time after unlocking a particular upgrade. Weapons obtained from blueprints can be added to appropriate loadouts and used during a match.
Each weapon available in Call of Duty Warzone behaves slightly differently when firing and can be used in a specific situation with better or worse effect. The easiest weapons to use are pistols and shotguns, while machine weapons will require a lot of practice. In Battle Royale type games, you can use a number of methods that greatly facilitate the gameplay, improve your accuracy and sharpen your reflexes. Below you will find important information that can help improve your skills and increase your chances of survival on the Verdansk map in Call of Duty Warzone.
All weapons available in Call of Duty Warzone have a certain recoil, which can be reduced in several ways. The main solution is to use special weapon mods that can help in aiming or stabilizing the weapon while shooting. Unfortunately, unlike other Battle Royale type games, weapon mods in CoD Warzone are only available when you pick up a better weapon - you won't find them separately. When a fight with another player gets a little faster, forcing you to shoot in longer bursts, try to constantly adjust the sight by moving it downwards.
Taking the right shooting position is extremely important. Shoot after you stop moving. Remember that crouching or lying on the ground increases the accuracy of your weapon significantly, but will hinder your mobility a little.
Effective weapon range
To effectively use any weapon available in Call of Duty Warzone, you need to study its effective fire range. Some weapons, like shotguns, are only suitable for very close combat. Others, such as machine guns, are effective both in close and long-range combat. Sniper weapons are only effective in open areas, but they deal huge damage - a headshot deals up to 250 points of damage and kills the target instantly.
An additional sight will increase your accuracy
Each weapon available in Call of Duty Warzone has an additional sight that greatly affects its accuracy. To maximize the potential of a weapon, you need to learn how to use it well. Some weapons, such as sniper rifles, can have significantly better zoom.
Shooting methods in CoD Warzone
While playing CoD Warzone, you can use several useful shooting techniques that will undoubtedly improve your accuracy and effectiveness in combat. Over time, you will start using them intuitively, but this requires some practice.
- Single shots - a technique that works best at medium and long range. This guarantees very good accuracy without worrying about the weapon recoil. In this technique, shots are fired one at a time or a maximum of 2 bullets, followed by a short pause to reset the weapon recoil. During this time, you can take a different position and make a shot again.
- Short bursts - the most popular technique, which involves short bursts of 3-7 bullets. Short bursts can be fired from almost any automatic or semi-automatic weapon, and this method works best at medium and close range.
- Full auto - continuous firing in long bursts, often until the magazine is completely emptied, with constant adjustment of the sight position. Due to much less accuracy and efficiency than the other two methods, full auto is used mostly at a very short distance.
When shooting at an enemy in Call of Duty Warzone, you won't see any numbers on the screen showing the amount of damage done, which can be a bit confusing. When you hit a target, you will hear a distinctive sound and will be able to see blood spatter from the enemy's body or experience points received for elimination.
When you hit an enemy's torso, you must take into account that they have armor - this can grant them up to 150 additional health points. Unfortunately, this is not the most effective way to deal damage - you will definitely kill the enemy faster by aiming at their head.
Headshots are the most effective way to quickly eliminate an opponent in Call of Duty Warzone, but they require great accuracy and skill. If you use a sniper weapon, one accurate headshot can completely eliminate the enemy from the game.
During a match in Call of Duty Warzone you will find a whole bunch of different weapons, grenades, and ammunition. Such a large amount of supplies needs to be stored somewhere - your character in CoD Warzone has a limited amount of inventory space, so you need to constantly replace the current equipment with better items.
In Call of Duty Warzone, you have two weapon slots - usually you choose one main and one sidearm weapon. For example, you can choose a machine gun or sniper rifle for short and long-range combat, and a shotgun for close range. You can exchange any weapon for another by clicking the corresponding button.
Is it possible to increase the inventory capacity in Call of Duty Warzone?
Unfortunately, there are no items in Call of Duty Warzone that increase the capacity of your inventory. Because of that, you need to learn how to manage your equipment properly. Unnecessary items can be immediately discarded - open the inventory menu and select unwanted items by pressing the appropriate button.
CoD Warzone game interface
The interface in Call of Duty Warzone is very easy-to-read and shouldn't cause problems even for a novice player. On the main screen, you will see all the necessary information, such as a mini-map, information about the round, the number of survived players, the compass, the team's health level, and your own equipment.
The mini-map is located in the upper-left corner of the screen. Try to look at it as often as possible, because it has a lot of important information - supply drops, shopping spots, and even enemy players (they are marked with a red dot during shooting). Below the mini-map, you can find a timer that shows how much time is left until the end of this round.
The compass is located at the top of the screen, in the center. With it, you can quickly find in which direction you need to go, as well as locate members of your team.
Health and armor points, information about the team
Each character in Call of Duty Warzone starts a match with 100 health points. To increase the hero's survival rate, you can equip them with additional armor. Depending on your armor level, you can have 50 (1 blue line), 100 (2 blue lines), or 150 (3 blue lines) of additional armor points. This means that each player can have 100 health points and a maximum of 150 armor points. Important! There is no headgear in Call of Duty Warzone. A headshot is deadly.
Your weapon and amount of ammo are displayed on the right side of the screen. The icon representing the grenades is next to the weapon icon.
Number of kills, players left
On the right, you have information about your number of kills during the match, as well as the number of players left. These numbers change dynamically.
How to heal in Call of Duty Warzone?
In Call of Duty Warzone, the hero's health regenerates automatically. If you don't take damage for an extended period, your health bar will quickly regenerate to the maximum value.
How to restore armor in Call of Duty Warzone?
In Call of Duty Warzone, you can find armor plates in random locations on the map. Depending on your armor level, you can have an additional 50, 100, or even 150 armor points. If you take damage and your armor level drops, you can quickly restore it using the Armor Plate item. You can carry a maximum of 5 armor plates.
