This section of the Call of Duty Cold War guide provides a description of the Echoes of Cold War mission. Echoes of the Cold War is the fifth campaign mission, which mixes stealth sequences with typical shooting.

The mission consists of two phases: a silent and a louder one. Of course, you play through the mission with an ally. This mission also includes evidence for a side mission (it's rather hard to miss).

• Go to the bunker
• Find Woods
• Explore the excavation site and find the server rooms

Go to the bunker

Follow Woods, you will stumble upon some enemies along the way. According to Woods ' instructions, you need to take down only one of them. Your ally will deal with the other enemy. Before you get on the zipline, check if there are soldiers in your destination area - if so, eliminate them from afar with a sniper rifle. If they start shooting at you while you're ziplining, you will fall down. Right after that, you and Woods will reach a satcom building.

You can deal with enemies quietly or loudly

Choose whether you want to deal with the enemies through stealth or not. You will find several enemies there (two of them are located on a hill or on the roof of the building). After you've dealt with the enemies, go inside. You'll find evidence for a side mission in the middle of the room. Keep going until you come across a bunker in front of you.

There will be enemies shooting at you from the bunker

Start shooting at the soldiers in front of and on the bunker. In case of trouble, hide behind the drifts and behind the crates nearby. When you're done, hop on the zipline.

Find Woods

Keep going ahead. On the right side, as in the photo below, you will find a passage - go through it. For now, you don't have to worry about enemies - there won't be much of them.

Use this passage to get to Woods

You'll find other enemies a little further away. There will be 2-3 of them, but unfortunately the only weapon you have is a knife. Eliminating them shouldn't be a big problem for you, even if you won't manage to perform a silent takedown. On the left side you will find a locker - you can open it with a key, which is located further into the rooms.

Along the way you will also find a bow for stealth kills. You will find more enemies in the next room with snowdrifts. Keep walking. At some point, you'll reach a round room, a sort of command room. Eliminate all enemies. Inside the room, as in the photo below, you will find a key to the locker that you've discovered before- be careful on your way back there because enemies will respawn.

Past the command room, you'll find a room with a computer and a key

Keep moving until you get to Woods.

Explore the excavation site and find the server rooms

After regrouping with Woods, watch the excavation (you will find a device for this on the left side of the room, on a large, yellow stand). Scan the entire location and pay close attention to the crane in the middle.

Now you're about to face an open fight. Together with Woods, break through the hordes of enemies. There is nothing special happening outside the fight, so you can focus on combat only. At some point, you will reach a large building and there will be will a sizeable server standing in the middle.

Here you will find the main mission target

Clear the entire building along with the server. Go upstairs to the server and attach the hook. You're about to face a rather difficult sequence because there will be enemies swarming in from each side. Try to hide as much as possible, shoot down the enemies and use explosive barrels.
