Breathedge: Chapter 3, Normandy - walkthrough Breathedge guide, walkthrough

Last update: 09 September 2021

On this page of our Breathedge guide you'll learn how to complete Chapter 3 - Normandy. It begins after you lower the radiation level as part of the Lower Radiation task in Chapter 2.

Repair Normandy

Once you manage to reduce the radiation, you'll finally be able to head to the Normandy ship. The ship, however, needs to be thoroughly repaired.

Steering Wheel

The first necessary repair is the steering wheel - Breathedge: Chapter 3 - Normandy - walkthrough - Chapter 3 - Breathedge Guide

The first necessary repair is the steering wheel. Scan it to obtain one of the blueprint fragments. You may have stumbled upon the remaining fragments in the earlier stages of the game:

Steering Wheel blueprint #1

The first blueprint is in the starting pod of Chapter 2, the one that once served as your temporary base - Breathedge: Chapter 3 - Normandy - walkthrough - Chapter 3 - Breathedge Guide

Steering Wheel blueprint #2

The second blueprint is located in an asteroid cave - Breathedge: Chapter 3 - Normandy - walkthrough - Chapter 3 - Breathedge Guide

The second blueprint is located in an asteroid cave. There's a destroyed pod near the broken communications module, with its steering wheel blown out right through the windshield.

Steering Wheel blueprint #3

The third blueprint to scan can be found inside the working pod near the Knight-Errant (here, you can also find a blueprint for the Enhanced Handy Scrapper) - Breathedge: Chapter 3 - Normandy - walkthrough - Chapter 3 - Breathedge Guide

Other repairs

Additionally, you need to build a Manuever Engine you can install on the outside of the ship - you've obtained its blueprint in the previous chapter while repairing the mayo storage. Repair the station around Normandy as well, by fixing three specific spots on the ring - you need a Repair Tool to do so. Once you're ready you can enter the shuttle, grab the steering wheel and head to the next area.

After completing the repairs and making a jump with Normandy, you won't be able to return to this area for quite some time. It's worthwhile to obtain necessary tools and repair the ones with low durability before doing so.
