What are Shift Codes?
SHiFT Codes are codes that give you items in Borderlands 3. They can only be entered by members of the SHiFT service. Joining the SHiFT program is free. You can do it:
- From the game - Open the pause menu, select Social and go to the SHiFT tab.
- Browser - Go to"https://shift.gearboxsoftware.com/home"
If you already have a SHiFT account, for example from previous parts of Borderlands, then you can log in right away.
How do I redeem SHiFT Codes?
You can redeem SHiFT Codes in two ways:
- From the game - Open the pause menu, select Social and go to the SHiFT tab. If you are logged in to the SHiFT service, the SHiFT CODE window will appear automatically.
- Browser - Go to"https://borderlands.com/en-US/vip-codes/"
If you entered the correct code that was still active, you will get confirmation. Otherwise, the game will show you an error message.
What can you get with SHiFT Codes?
The main use of SHiFT Codes is to get Golden Keys - we have described them on How to get Golden Keys? page.
SHiFT Codes can also be used, e.g. for getting the cosmetic items - different skins of weapons or unique headwears. These items don't change the statistics of the character, only their appearance and equipment.
How to get SHiFT Codes?
SHiFT Codes are provided primarily by Gearbox Software through social media sites. We recommend checking the developer's Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts. A good source of codes is also Randy Pitchford's personal Twitter account, where he regularly shares new codes - "https://twitter.com/DuvalMagic". Codes can be active for a limited time or don't have an expiration date.
Below we present several codes for Golden Keys. They should work regardless of when they were entered:

How to get items for redeemed SHiFT Codes?
Once you redeem a code correctly, go to the Social menu and open the Mail tab - the one where you accept mail. You must manually confirm each reward - press and hold the Accept button. It will then be transferred to your character's inventory.
