Class description

Tamera - Tamer - Character classes - Black Desert Online - Game Guide and Walkthrough
Tamera

Tamer is different from the rest of the classes in Black Desert. To a great extent, this class relies on the summon that reinforces you in battle. Tamer relies on dodging and attack, which automatically precludes her from being a tank. However, with progress in dodging, Tamer is perfect against large groups of enemies, thanks to her AoE skills. Her main weapon - the summon - is available as an active skill from the 20th main level of the character. Starting with level 49, the summon can also be used as a mount.

Armoring

Tamer's primary weapon is the short sword. While leveling up and completing quests, you will be receiving your first armoring that is good enough for monster hunting and for upgrading your character. While reaching higher levels, consider a better weapon for your Tamer - Yuria Shortsword. This is the best weapon, right after Liverto, available at a relatively low cost that will come in handy both in PvP and PvE modes. The more costly, and better, alternative is Liverto Shortsword. The price and the demand for this weapon is high, which is why you will be using Yuria up until you change the weapon. An additional element of Tamer's weapon is the ornament that boosts character's statistics. When it comes to ornaments, focus on the two most important ones, i.e. Krea Trinket that provides a bonus to accuracy and defense, or Incense Trinket that provides a bonus to accuracy and attack.

When it comes to armor, there are many available for the Tamer, which you can well use for any type of quests. One of the sets is Taritas, which provides you with a high bonus to accuracy and stamina. Grunil is an alternative for this one, but the price is higher and availability lower. Tamer can also use Agerian which is a much more affordable set than the previous ones.

When it comes to jewelry, focus mainly on sets that among others, provide you with a bonus to attack, i.e. the most popular one and cheaper Bares.

Description

Summon Heilang

Summon Heilang is a skill that summons the beast that fights as your ally. An addition to the skill are commands Attack, Stay, Follow and Sit, which are necessary for controlling the summon.

Heilang: Whipslash

Heilang Whipslash is an offensive skill. It is recommended that you max out on this one.

Leaf Slash

Leaf Slash is your main skill that replenishes mana each time you attack. Higher level of this skill increases accuracy and speed of the attack itself.

Heilang: Upward Claw

Heilang: Upward Claw is a skill that deals considerable damage. You can well use it while mounted on the summon.

Heilang: Roaring

Heilang: Roaring is your main offensive skill. While not charged to 100%, it deals lower damage, but you can use it over and over again. Also, the range of the skill makes it the best one against groups of enemies, due to its range.

Heilang: Fearful Trembling

Heilang: Fearful Trembling is yet another offensive skill that attacks all enemies within reach. Use it alternately with Roaring.

Void Lightning

Void Lightning is a skill thanks to which you herd a group of enemies together. If you have already summoned the beast, you start dealing severe damage. This skill harmonizes well with other AoE attacks.

Bolt Wave / Jolt Wave

Bolt Wave/Jolt Wave is a skill that knocks the enemy back and deals high damage.

Flurry of Kicks

Flurry of Kicks is the basic skill that you can combine with others for combos.

Below, see some example combos for the Tamer:

  • The first, basic, combo is Leaf Leash followed by Jolt Wave and Heilang: Trample. The sequence is [LMB] + [LMB] + [LMB] + [SHIFT]+[LMB] + [SPACEBAR]
  • The second combo is Evasive Attack followed by Bolt Wave and Heilang: Upward Claw. The sequence is [D]+[LMB] + [SHIFT]+[LMB] + [S]+[RMB] + [SHIFT]+[LMB]
  • The third combo is Flash, Soaring Kick followed by Heilang: Lightning on Earth and Heilang: Trample. The sequence is [S]+[LMB] + [E] + [W]+[RMB] + [SPACEBAR]
  • The fourth combo is Evasion, Leaf Slash (Forward), Heilang: Lightning of Earth, Heilang: Trample, Bolt Wave and Jolt Wave. The sequence is [SHIFT]+[A] + [W]+[LMB] + [W]+[RPM] + [SPACEBAR] + [SHIFT]+[LMB]
  • The fifth combo (for advanced players) is Evasive Attack followed by Heilang: Scratch, Flowing Water, Heilang: Trample, Heilang: Lightning of Earth, Soaring Kick and Heilang: Surging Tide.
