Assault class Battlefield 1 Guide

This chapter describes the Assault class in detail. Some of its contents are tips regarding the gameplay and some basic information about the character's equipment.

The Assault class is perfect for destroying vehicles and short range combat. Assault characters have rocket launchers, dynamite and anti-tank grenades. Assault rifles have a high rate of fire and low accuracy. This class can also equip a shotgun, which is extremely effective in a close combat.

Gadgets

Anti-tank grenades explode on contact with a vehicle or map element. When you respawn, you get 2 of them. Aside from destroying tanks, they can be used to make holes in buildings or destroy barricades. What is important, they deal a lot of damage to elite characters despite being ineffective against regular soldiers.

Anti-tank mines can be used as traps against tanks and other vehicles. Try to find a good location for them so that the enemy cannot see it. Such locations are, for example, holes in dirt roads. When the map is more urbanized, a mine can be hidden near a curb. They can be detonated with a few gunshots, so do not waste them.

Anti-tank rocket gun, like all other explosives, can be used to destroy vehicles, buildings and barricades. What is important, it must be stable to be used. You need to place it on a tripod, which means that you must lie down or place it on an object high enough to use it comfortably, e.g. a barrier or a windowsill.

Dynamite works similarly to C4 known from other Battlefield games. Place the charge using the aim button and detonate it with the one used for shooting. You receive 3 charges of dynamite when you respawn. You can place all 3 at the same time, they will explode simultaneously. Destroying a tank with dynamite is rather difficult since you need to be close to the vehicle. Compared to other gadgets, it does not deal a lot of damage.

Tips

Avoid long range combat. Assault rifles and shotguns are not effective at a distance higher than 25 meters. If you can, mark an enemy and try to approach him or hide so that he will have to get closer to you.

If you equip a shotgun, take your time while shooting. Aim carefully to kill an enemy with a single shot. Choose a revolver as a sidearm - use it at a distance longer than 20 meters, because shotguns are not very effective at such a range.

You have to use a tripod while using a rocket launcher. It means that you have to lie down or find a place to support the gun, e.g. a rock or a windowsill. The second option is better, because you will be able to escape much more quickly if you stand or crouch. When you are lying on the ground, you are an easy target.

Assault rifles are equipped with a bayonet. Use it at a short distance to conserve ammo and stay quiet.
