You can modify weapons during the game when your specialist is alive and moves on the map. To do it, you will use so called system "plus" - by pressing the appropriate button, you can expand the attachments menu. You will find sights, barrels, magazines, and stocks available for the equipped weapon.

To attach a part, highlight it and press the button confirming your choice.

Of course, modifying a weapon also affects its parameters, such as fire rate, range, accuracy and handling. Therefore, the best option is to test several different sets and find the configuration that best suits your preferences.
